Replacing the hydraulic fluid in hydraulic clutch
The manufacturer recommends replacing the working fluid in hydraulic clutch 30 000 km or 2 years whichever is the sooner. You will need: the brake fluid hose to pump, the key "8", the capacity for drainage.
HELPFUL HINTS In hydraulic clutch used brake fluid DOT-3 or DOT-4. This fluid is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture quickly from the air). Formed in the main and working cylinders condensation causes corrosion of parts and hydraulic drive failure. Therefore, we recommend to replace the working fluid once a year, regardless of mileage. For this reason, we recommend the same time to replace the fluid in the hydraulic system (see. "Replacing the brake fluid"), especially as the supply tank for both systems overall. |
WARNINGS Do not use the drained fluid from the system again: it is contaminated, saturated with air and moisture. Always fill in only new fluid of the brand, that of the liquid filled in before. Brake fluid is hygroscopic, so it can not be stored in an open container. Protect the environment! Do not drain the brake fluid used in the soil or the sewer system. |
| | 1. Remove the protective cap from the bleed the clutch slave cylinder. | 2. Attach a hose to the valve and lower the end into a container with a small amount of brake fluid. Ask the assistant to dramatically push the clutch pedal 4-5 times at intervals of 1-2 and then hold it. Turn the valve 3/4 turn. From the hose into the container will follow the old (dirty) fluid. Once the liquid stops flowing, tighten the air vent. |
NOTE Watch out for the liquid level in the tank, preventing its reduction to a label ?MIN? on the reservoir, since at a lower level, you may not notice the moment of complete drying section of the hydraulic drive clutch in a tank and gets in the air. In this case, the hydraulic pump is necessary. If necessary, top up with new brake fluid. This provides a gradual replacement of the old fluid with new without draining the hydraulic system. |
3. Repeat step 2 to complete replacement of the fluid in the drive (with a hose should follow clear liquid with no air bubbles). |
4. After replacing the hydraulic fluid is required to wear a protective cap on the air vent. |
5. Top up the brake fluid to the level mark ?MAX? markings on the reservoir. Close the reservoir cap. |
