Replacing brake fluid
Change the brake fluid in hydraulic brakes every 30,000 km or 2 years of operation (whichever comes first). To fill the system, use glycol brake fluids with the parameters of FMVSS 116 is not lower than DOT-3. You will need: the keys "8", "10", brake fluid, rubber or transparent hose transparent vessel.
NOTE The valves to bleed air from the working cylinders of the rear wheels are made turn-key "8" front - turn-key "10". |
RECOMMENDATIONS Replace the brake fluid is recommended with an assistant, after setting the vehicle on a pit, trestle or lift (did not need to take the wheel). Only use brake fluid, which the manufacturer recommends. Priority replacement fluid in the brake mechanisms: - Right Rear; - Left Front; - Left Rear; - Right front. |
WARNINGS Do not reuse the liquid is discharged from the system: it is dirty, full of air and moisture. Always top up the system only new fluid of the same brand as that of the liquid filled in before. Brake fluid is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from the air), so it can not be stored in an open container. Protect the environment! Do not drain the brake fluid used in the soil or the sewer system. On the distribution points receiving waste fluids in your area can be obtained from your local authorities. |
| | 1. Remove the plug reservoir master cylinder ... | 2. ... and the rubber gasket. |
| 3. Fill the tank with clean brake fluid up to the lower edge of the filler neck. |
HELPFUL ADVICE When refilling the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir using a funnel, for example, made from a plastic bottle, not to spill liquid on the painted surfaces of the body, which are stubborn marks. |
A WARNING Slow down the car and set the parking brake at the rear wheel chocks ("boots"). |
| | 4. Clean dirt from the air release valves and remove the protective caps valve wheel cylinders of the front ... | 5. ... and rear brakes. |
| 6. Attach the rubber hose to the vent valve right rear brake and immerse the end of the hose into a clean glass container. |
A WARNING Removal of air from hydraulic brake drive spend only when running at idle the engine. |
7. The assistant should sharply push the brake pedal four to five times (with an interval between pressing 1-2), and then hold the pedal down. |
8. Remove the 1 / 2-3 / 4 turn vent valve. From the hose will start to follow the old (dirty) brake fluid. The brake pedal at this time is to move slowly until it stops. Once the liquid stops flowing, tighten the air vent. |
NOTE Watch out for the liquid level in the tank, preventing its reduction to the lower mark on the reservoir. If necessary, top up with new brake fluid to prevent the entry of air into the hydraulic actuator. This provides a gradual replacement of the old fluid with new without draining the hydraulic system. |
| 9. In the same way, replace the brake fluid in the left front brake mechanism, and then in the second circuit (first in the left rear brake mechanism, and then the right front). |
10. Repeat steps 5-7 to complete replacement of the fluid in the drive (with a hose should follow clear liquid with no air bubbles). |
11. After replacing the brake fluid is required to wear protective caps on the vent valves. |
12. Fill the brake fluid, its level must be between the ?MIN? and ?MAX? markings on the reservoir. Set the tank stopper. |
13. Check the quality of the work performed: press several times on the brake pedal - the pedal travel and force on it must be the same each time. If not, go back to the procedures 5-9. |
14. Install the parts in reverse order of removal. |
