Checking and replacing the fuel pressure regulator
Symptoms of pressure regulator: - Unstable operation of the engine; - The engine stalls at idle; - High or low engine speed to idle; - Engine does not develop full power, a lack of engine response; - Increased fuel consumption. You will need to gauge a set of adapters. 3. To check the pressure regulator, disconnect the fuel line from the tip of the fuel nozzle module, the supply to the fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter. |
4. Connect the manometer to measure the limit of not less than 5 kg / m 2 in a pipeline rupture from the fuel pump to the fuel line, connect the connector to the fuel pump wiring harness disconnected when the pressure and let the engine. When idling engine pressure in the pipeline should be at least 2.65 kg / cm 2 |
5. Turn on the ignition and determine the pressure in the supply system. With proper regulator pressure must be 350 kPa (3.5 kg / m 2 with). If the pressure is below or above the norm, and the remaining elements of the system are correct, it means that the regulator is faulty or leakproof installation in the fuel module. Removal and installation of the fuel pressure regulator described in the section "Replacing the fuel pump". |
