Carter clutch housing demolition elements of the main transfer
NOTE Disassembly is carried out in the order shown in the illustration 3.35 . Procedures for removing individual components of housing are given later in this section. |
Remove the input shaft oil seal using a screwdriver (Fig. 3.36).

Remove the bearing race with the output shaft and the socket (Fig. 3.37). To disassemble the cylindrical pin, align the notch to remove the pin clutch with the position of the cylindrical pin.

To remove the control rod, move it in the direction of the arrow shown in Figure 3.39.

Using a flat-blade screwdriver and a hammer, make a hole in the lid (Fig. 3.40).
Remove the sealing cap by inserting a flat-blade screwdriver into the hole on the inside of the casing (Fig. 3.41).
Remove the control rod gland, using a screwdriver (Fig. 3.42).
Remove differential oil seal using a screwdriver (Fig. 3.43).

Before you disassemble the differential bearing race, remove the bearing outer race using a special device (Fig. 3.44).
To remove the lever shaft reverse, first, with the help of pliers, remove the cylindrical pin (Fig. 3.45).

Secure the lever shaft and a backing cloth using the same pliers, remove the shaft (Fig. 3.46).

With the help of a special device, remove the bearing race crankcase main gear (Fig. 3.47)
