Changing the oil filter



The procedure for replacing the oil filter

1. Using special devices, unscrew the oil filter (Fig. 1.178).
2. Wipe with a clean cloth mounting surface oil filter housing.
3. Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring of the oil filter.
4. Replace the filter and tighten it by hand.
5. Using a special tool, tighten the filter an additional 3/4 turn.
6. Start the engine and check for oil leaks.
7. Check the oil level, if necessary, finish it to norm.
