Check glow plugs
If you have problems when you start the engine in the first place, check correct functioning of all the spark plugs. Verification is performed on a cold motor (ambient temperature) and a fully charged battery (output voltage of less than 11.5), glow plugs must remain in their regular places. Check of power supply | - Remove the trim panel of the power unit.
- With the help of a suitable tool such as HAZET 4760-5 disconnect the glow plug wiring.
- Connect the contact between the spark plug wire and ground lamp-sampler.
- Turn on the ignition, leave the ignition key in the position preheat activation and follow the lamp - it should light up, confirming serviceability of giving power to the spark plug.
- Acting in a similar way, check the wiring of the remaining candles.
- Unplug the lamp-sampler and go to check the actual candles (See below.).

Checking the glow plugs | - Connect an ohmmeter between the terminals and body candles make sure that there are no signs of breaking the spiral - conductivity should take place (the resistance is not equal to infinity), otherwise the plug must be replaced. Operating in a similar manner, check each of the candles.
- Restore initial connection of wiring and replace the trim panel of the power unit.
