Removal and installation of a gear drive timing
When using previously worked belt mark the direction of travel before you begin removal. Install the drive belt on the marks made during removal. Disconnect "minus" plug of the storage battery. "Poddomkratte" front of the car to the right and set the stand. Remove the wheel mudguard and a lower shield guard. Drain the cooling system. Loosen the water pump pulley. Remove right wheel arch through upper radiator hose cooling system of the engine. Remove the auxiliary equipment drive belts, water pump pulley, the upper part of the timing cover, and remove the gasket. Set the stop at the engine or the engine slings for lifting eyes. Remove the right engine mount bracket. Disconnect the electric wires that are suitable to the starter, then the starter. Rotate the crankshaft pulley and set the cut-out of the crankshaft (no color coding) against the mark on the cylinder block (the piston of 1st cylinder is at TDC compression stroke). Rotate the crankshaft in a clockwise direction for the bolt crankshaft pulley or lifting the front wheel after the IV or V gear.

Install the starter instead of devices (10,105,630 KV and KV 101 105 610) for blocking the rotation of the flywheel (Fig. 3.15). Remove the bolt crankshaft pulley, then use the puller for external gripper engage remove the pulley. Remove the bottom of the timing cover, and remove the gasket. Loosen the tensioner pulley bolt and rotate the roller counterclockwise to loosen the belt tension. Tighten the tension wheel. Remove the flange of the camshaft pulley, guide roller, belt camshaft. Remove the woodruff key and remove the slinger (the engine CD20). After removing the toothed belt drive, do not allow the rotation of the crankshaft and camshaft to avoid hitting a piston valve. When replacing the timing belt drive it is also recommended to replace the tensioner and the drive rollers. If the rollers are not replaced, make sure that they rotate without jamming.

When installing drive belt, observe the installation direction of the arrow on the belt. Check the condition of the front oil seal bearing crankshaft. If necessary, replace the oil seal. For pulling out oil seal using a mandrel of appropriate diameter. Apply a layer of lubrication between the front edges of the gland. Ensure clean and no damage on the surfaces of pulleys and rollers in contact with the drive belt. Install slinger crankshaft pulley (the engine CD20), observing the direction of installation (Fig. 3.16) and woodruff key. Make sure that the crankshaft key is in the "12 o'clock" and the notch on the camshaft pulley is in the "3 o'clock" (Fig. 3.17). Set the guide roller, then the belt pulley on the crankshaft so that the marks on the crankshaft and the camshaft is in the "3 o'clock". Adjust the tension of the drive belt between the branches of the two toothed pulleys. Orient the arrow on the timing belt to the side of the engine. Install the flange of the camshaft pulley and apply a layer of the flange bolts Safety-paste. Remove the tension wheel nut to release the spring. Rotate the crankshaft two turns clockwise, then return it to the initial position of the angle of injection to verify the installation. Do not rotate the crankshaft of the engine of the camshaft sprocket. Tighten the tension wheel nut, holding the roller by rotation using a wrench with hexagon head. Other operations are performed to install the belt in the reverse order of removal. Fill the cooling system and bleed the circuit.
