Removal and installation of the cylinder head

Disconnect a wire from "the minus" plug of the storage battery. Put on support a forward part of the car. Drain the cooling system. Remove the right wheel, its mudguard and a lower shield guard. Disconnect the pipe cooling system and the air duct from the intake manifold. Under the car, remove the front exhaust pipe and remove pads. Remove the heat-insulating shield of the exhaust manifold, the exhaust manifold and the intake manifold, remove their pads. Remove the drive belt camshaft drive belt and remove the fuel pump of high pressure. Disconnect from the fourth cylinder injector return hose. Disconnect the electrical connectors and components of devices located in the area of removing the cylinder head, noting their location. The engine CD20E disconnect the needle lift sensor from the nozzle of the first cylinder. Block of rotation with special tool camshaft sprocket from the fuel pump, then unscrew a bolt of its fastening and remove the camshaft sprocket. Remove the inner cover fasteners pump drive belt, drive belt tension roller pump and cylinder head cover. Gradually loosen the bolts and remove the cylinder head in sequence, return shown on Fig. 3.18. Check disconnection of the cylinder head of the wires, connectors and pipelines. With the help of a lever device separate from the cylinder head and remove it by gently pulling the end of the camshaft of an internal cover drive pump. Establish a head on the wooden surface and remove the spacer. Before installing the cylinder head on the block, clean the surface of the coupling head and the block, using special detergents to dissolve the remnants of the old gasket. Do not use a sharp instrument, which can damage the sealing surfaces. Check the condition of the mating surfaces. They must be no scratches or other external defects. Install the camshaft position starting angle of injection. This mark on the camshaft pulley should be in the "3 o'clock". Restore the threads in the holes for the head bolts in the cylinder block using a tap corresponding diameter, clear of dirt and dry. Check the mounting bushings. Make sure that the crankshaft is in the initial timing of injection and dowel on the crankshaft - in the "12 hours". Check with a ruler and a set of shims flatness of the mating surface of the cylinder head. Install shim of the same thickness as the shot if the mating surface is not subjected to grinding heads. Otherwise, if replacement of the crank mechanism or its parts, as well as the replacement of the cylinder necessary to measure protrusion of the pistons relative to the mating surface of the cylinder with the indicator in order to determine the thickness of the installed gasket (see. Table. 3.9).

Determine the average value of the protrusion of the piston for each cylinder (Fig. 3.19) and calculate the average value for all four cylinders.

Install a new gasket labeled "TOP" upwards; Region tagged gasket thickness direct in the direction of the oil filter (Fig. 3.20). Replace the cylinder head. Install the mounting bolts of the cylinder head, pre-oiled their threaded portion and a head. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque in the sequence shown in Fig. 3.18. When installing the cylinder, replace all earlier removed gaskets. The installation of the cylinder head follow in reverse order, while adjusting the belt tension of the camshaft and injection pump. Bleed the fuel system. Pour the liquid in the engine cooling system and remove air from the system. Check and adjust, if necessary, the work of the high pressure pump. Check the operation of the engine.
