Removal and installation of the instrument panel



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  2. Remove the steering wheel.

Do not tap on the end of a steering shaft with a hammer to avoid damage to the steering column.

  1. Give the fastening screws together the two halves of the column cover. Remove casings from the column.
  1. Give fixing screws and gently pull back the instrument cluster trim (screws indicated by arrows on an accompanying illustration). Release the electric sockets and switches and potentiometers completely remove facing.
  1. Give fixing screws, remove the part of the combination instrument panel and disconnect from the rear portion of the wiring. Remove the combination, taking care not to damage the protection glass.
  2. Give the fastening screws to the support bracket of the drive cables opening the cover flap The fuel intake, and hood (if fitted) off the anti-roll stability.
  1. Give the screws that secure the support bracket of the drive cables (see. Accompanying illustration) and slide the bracket back and remove it from the vehicle.
  1. Disconnect the cable of a manual throttle actuator on the gas pedal and bracket.
  2. Open the glove box and take the screws that secure the latter. Remove the glove box from the vehicle.
  3. Remove the ashtray and hand screws located under it.
  4. Give the screws holding the center of the dashboard.
  5. Move the transfer case lever to downshift position and partially remove the central part of the dashboard. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the clock, cigarette lighter, ashtray illumination, hazard switch, as well as other additional equipment.
  6. Remove the center of the instrument panel.
  7. Give fixing screws, remove the radio part and disconnect it from the electrical wiring and antenna cable. Remove the radio.
  8. Remove the handle with the controls of a heater. Use a screwdriver to release the retaining tabs on the heater control panel. Remove the panel.
  9. Using the flat-blade screwdriver, remove the finishing trim on top of the instrument panel (see. Accompanying illustration - arrows).

  1. Give bolts along the top edge of the instrument panel, on the sides and the bottom edge of the hole for the installation of radio (arrows on an accompanying illustration).
  1. Release the cable of a drive recirculation / fresh air supply from support rail loop glove box.
  2. Carefully remove the assembly from the vehicle dashboard.

When removing the instrument panel by one person may require the lifting of the combination switch. To do this, you must give the retaining screw and disunite electric sockets, followed by a switch to push down and turn it a quarter turn.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Track correctness of wiring.
  2. Check the operation of the drive heater control, if necessary, make adjustments.
  3. Firmly tighten all fasteners.
  4. Check the operation of all rented or disabled in the course of dismantling the components.
