Vacuum hoses

Installation of vacuum hoses on the engine SR20Di. The positions from "1" to "9" indicate the hoses, that are referred to in the text. The arrow points to the front of the vehicle

10 - pressure control valve Exhaust gas
11 - a control valve of the return of exhaust gases and an adsorber with activated carbon
12 - ternary compound
13 - the valve of the exhaust gas return

14 - the fuel pressure regulator
15 - control valve
16 - an adsorber with activated carbon

The engine SR20DE not difficult to properly connect the vacuum hoses. Keep in mind that not to be confused hoses Activated charcoal filter, since one is connected to the intake manifold and the other from the throttle body. A third hose is connected between the pressure regulator and intake manifold.

The opposite of this is to connect the hose to the engine SR20Di, since this engine is connected to 9 different hoses. The illustration shows how the hoses are routed. Type "A" on the lower side shows the switching valve (15) from the back side to be seen where the hoses are connected. Some hoses are routed as follows:

  1. Hose (1) is sandwiched between the exhaust gas return valve (13) and the exhaust gas control valve (10).
  2. Hose (2) is connected between the exhaust gas control valve (10) and ternary compounds (12).
  3. The hose (3) is connected between the ternary compound (12) and control valve return system exhaust gas and adsorber with activated charcoal (11).
  4. Hose (4) is connected between the control valve exhaust gas return system and the adsorber with activated charcoal (11) and the vacuum line.
  5. The hose (5) connected between the vacuum duct and the air filter.
  6. Hose (6) connected between the control valve exhaust gas return system and the adsorber with activated carbon and the bottom of the throttle body.
  7. A hose (7) connected between the box with activated charcoal (16) and tee (12).
  8. A hose (8) is connected between the changeover valve (15) and the inlet conduit.
  9. Hose (9) is connected between the fuel pressure regulator (14) and the lower part of the throttle body.
  10. On the engine without catalytic converter are only hoses (8) and (9).
  11. All hoses are secured with clamps and ties. When installing and connecting the hose clamps must be fastened in the same position. Do not leave the hose hanging loose, as they can grind in a short time. Pay particular attention to what not to mix hoses adsorber with activated carbon, as it will not be carried out post-combustion of gasoline vapor.
