On all models, except those that are running engines with a displacement of 1.4 liters, the pressure regulator is set, operation of which depends on the load on the rear axle. The regulator is installed near the rear axle and connected thereto by a spring (Fig. 8.26). When changing the load of a vehicle suspension are moved relative to the body of the car, which leads to a change in spring tension, which in turn changes the position of the fader lever. As a result, the pressure in the hydraulic circuit of the rear brakes is changed to match the load. Removal of the regulator in the following order: - Unscrew the cover of the master cylinder reservoir, close the neck and polyethylene screw cap again to get a tight seal; - Remove the nut and bolt to the regulator spring axis; - Clean the surface of dirt around the place connecting pipes braking system to the controller and put it under fittings rags to absorb the brake fluid, which may leak when you disconnect the tubes; - Mark the pipe to ensure correct connection of them afterwards; - Unscrew the nut and remove the tube fittings. Plug or cover the holes with adhesive tape tubes and control; - Wash immediately all spills in cold water; - Unscrew and remove the vehicle from the pressure regulator and a spring. The installation of the tuning knob in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following: - Prior to installation of the spring coat the ends with grease; - When installing a new regulator, set the spring adjusting bolt at the same position where it was when there was an old controller; - Connect the brake lines to the control of the labels put before removal and tighten the coupling nut; - Bleed the entire system of hydraulic brakes; - After installation, refer to the service station for testing the control and adjust if necessary. Qualitative criteria properly adjusted regulator is a small pre-emptive lock the front wheel towards the rear under braking to Hughes.
