Safety precautions when working on the system power supply
When working in the electrical system to avoid injury or damage to the devices of the system, observe the following precautions: - Do not operate the generator with the battery disconnected. This will cause the emergence of short-term surge in the output of the generator, which could damage the voltage regulator and electronic devices in the vehicle electrical system; - Do not check working capacity of the generator on the "spark" even a brief connection of the generator output with "weight". Check the generator only with the help of ammeter and voltmeter; - Never to be confused with each other wires of the voltage regulator; - Never turn on the voltage regulator, if it is connected in any way with "mass", otherwise it will damage him immediately; - Never remove the generator if the battery is not disconnected from the electrical system; - When installing the battery note to "minus" wire is connected to "weight"; - Do not Megger test vehicle wiring or lamp, a supply voltage of 12 V. If such verification is necessary, preliminary disconnect wires from the generator; - If the battery is installed in the car and it is planned to recharge the charger, then disconnect from the battery terminals, both cables. Correctly connect the charger to the battery terminals; - "Minus" battery pack should always be connected to "weight", and "plus" - connected to the generator terminals. Faulty reverse inclusion battery immediately cause damage to the rectifier and voltage regulator; - With electric welding units and parts of the car body disconnect the wires from the terminals of the generator and the battery.
