Check the brake servo

Vacuum brake booster reduces the force on the brake pedal, thereby facilitating control of the vehicle. Work the brake servo is based on the use of vacuum in the intake manifold. When the output of the vacuum amplifier of brake system performance is not affected, but the brake pedal must be pressed to make a much greater effort.

Press the brake pedal several times at the idle engine to create in cavities of the vacuum amplifier the identical pressure close to atmospheric pressure. Simultaneously on the effort put to a pedal, define, whether jamming of the valve body. Stop the beadle brakes in the middle of its course and start the engine. At the serviceable vacuum amplifier the pedal of a brake after engine start should leave forward. If the pedal does not leave forward, check the attachment of the tip of the hose connections in the mounting flange of the tip amplifier, a hose and nozzle. On vehicles with diesel engines check the operation of the vacuum pump.
