Removing gearbox



To remove the gearbox is necessary to raise the car and secure it in this position. Also, you must use stationary jack.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a wire of weight from the accumulator.
2. Remove the bracket extender ny tank cooling system and, without disconnecting from it hoses, move it to the side.
3. Loosen the hose clamps and remove the air pipe located between the air filter and the engine.
4. Release the screws of the right front wheel, then lift the car and remove the right front wheel.
5. Remove the bottom mudguard of the engine mounting strip.
6. Remove the top casing of the engine.
7. Unscrew and remove a reception exhaust pipe and catalyst.
8. Remove the screws and remove the protective covers left and right drive shafts.
9. Remove the screws and remove the internal hinges of power shafts from a transmission. Using a soft wire, tie the inner ends of the drive shafts to a body.
10. Remove the starter.
11. Remove the bolt (A) securing the gearbox control rod and remove the rod from the gearbox. Remove the bolt (B) and disconnect draft of a gear change from a transmission.
12. Disconnect from a transmission electrical connectors tachometer (A) and the reverse gear (B).
13. Disconnect the tire of grounding from a transmission.
14. Remove the bolts box ne transmission to the engine, leaving in place the bolts A and B, which must be unscrewed last.
15. Establish a special gearbox lift VAG1383A with bracket 3282 and the adjustment plate 3282/10 for gearbox 012 / 01A. Fix a transmission on the bracket and the adjusting plate.
In the absence of special accommodate tions to remove the gearbox support a transmission a jack through wooden bar.
16. Remove the bolts right (A) and the bolt of the left (B) supports the transmission.
17. Remove the remaining two screws (A and B) that secure the transmission to the engine.
18. Move the transmission from the engine and lower it to 15 cm in order to allow access to the clutch slave cylinder.
19. Remove the clutch slave cylinder and, using a soft wire, tie up it to the body. Do not disconnect from the clutch slave cylinder hydraulic hose and do not press the clutch pedal.
20. Carefully lower the gearbox and pull it out from under the car.
