Repair strut
Elements strut
1 - a nut with a fillet 50 Nm 2 - the bearing, 3 - a washer, 4 - the upper spring, 5 - a cylindrical coil spring, 6 - emphasis. Mounted on the top spring plate, | 7 - a protective cover, 8 - a protective casing, 9 - spring seat, 10 - the lower spring plate, 11 - shock |
Device for spring strut
| 1 - a device to compress the spring, 2 - Capture devices, 3 - anchorage strut |
Dismantling
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Secure the spring strut front axle in a vice with soft sponges and, using a special accommodate tion, compress a spring so that it is moved away from the top of the rack. See Figure. The device for the spring strut. When using the special adaptation for compression of springs watch, that spring coils were reliably grasped and the spring compression make from opposite sides. The spring has very big effort of compression, therefore use only very reliable tool. In no case do not connect a spring wire. | | 2. Secure the key shock-absorber rod from turning and using a second spanner, unscrew the central nut securing the shock absorber rod. | 3. Remove from the shock absorber rod bearing, the washer and the top spring plate. | 4. Remove spring with spring compressor. | | 5. Remove the protective cover (1) and spring seat (2). Using a plastic hammer, knock up the lower spring plate (3). |
| Setting
The correct position of the hole (arrow) when you install the spring plate on the bottom of the shock absorber
| 1 - the lower spring plate, 2 - shock, A - axis fork shock absorber lower mounting |
Proper positioning of the upper plate spring
| F - in front of the car, R - right spring strut, L - left-hand spring strut, A - ? 11 ? 2 minutes,
1 - Axle shock absorber |
Tightening the nuts damper rod
| 1 - the key to keep the absorber rod from rotating, 2 - a torque wrench to tighten the nut securing the shock absorber rod |
A warning When installing it is necessary to use the car on the same axis of the spring with the same specifications (with the same color-coded).
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Check the shock absorber for signs of leaks of an amortization liquid. Check the entire length of the damper rod on absence of pitting. Check the damper housing for mechanical damage. Install the shock absorber in vertical position and check his work, moving the shock-absorber rod to full stroke. Also check the suspension, shock-absorber rod moving up and down over a distance of 50-100 mm. In all cases, shock-absorber rod should move smoothly with a noticeable resistance. If the shock-absorber rod moves with jerks or there are mechanical damage, shock absorber must be replaced. | 2. Secure the shock absorber in a vice with soft sponges. | 3. Install the bottom plate of a spring on the shock absorber, and the hole in the plate spring must be perpendicular to plug the hole in the bottom fastening of the shock absorber (see. Fig. The correct position of the hole (arrow) when you install the spring plate on the bottom of the shock absorber). Deviation of holes in the bottom plate of the spring from the perpendicular position shall not exceed ? 2 ?. | 4. Install the spring seat and protective cover. | | 5. Install the coil spring so that its lower end is located right at the bottom of a plate spring. | 6. Install the top spring plate so that the axis passing through the mounting screw holes, positioned at an angle of 11 ? to the axis of the lower mounting tional amortization rack (see. Fig. Correct placement of the upper plate spring). Keep in mind that the upper spring mount for the left and right strut different. | 7. Hold the shock-absorber rod from rotating, screw a new nut with flange mounting rod amortizato pa and tighten it to 50 Nm. See fig. Tightening nuts damper rod. | 8. Carefully remove the adaptation for spring compression. | | 9. Check that the upper spring coil is properly positioned on the upper plate spring. | 10. Install the spring strut into the vehicle. |
