Repair the brake pipe



With the device for pipes VAS brake 6056 can be flared tube with an external diameter of 5 mm without damaging the coating. With this in certain cases possible to replace individual parts of the brake pipe, which reduces the cost of repairs.

Using the device for pipes VAG 1356 on the black brake lines are not allowed because of their cover and diameter.

NOTE
The arrow on the round side clamps must point to the edge of the body and straight side clamps must be installed to the spindle, otherwise improperly formed flaring head (Fig. 6.52).

Guide
Loosen the necessary brake line from the caliper or brake cylinder, substitute with the container under the outflow of brake fluid and dispose of it properly.

Cut the brake pipe in a suitable location (straight section with free access) with a pipe cutter 2 (Fig. 6.53).
Remove the defective segment.
Degrease the brake pipe.

Clamp brake tube clamp 4 in such a manner that about 50 mm projecting from the plastic of the jaws (Fig. 6.54).
Pinch tool for turning 3 in drills and push it to the brake line.
At low speed drill and under light pressure to grind coating with a brake tube.
The length is given emphasis in turning tool for turning.
Remove a tool for turning the brake tube and remove the remaining chips.

Remove the clamps and push socket D on the brake line (Fig. 6.55).

Insert the tube in until it stops and the device for expansion (Fig. 6.56).

NOTE
The tube must rest on the abutment when tightening the hex screws, otherwise flaring head will be wrong.

Pre-tighten the pipe in the device for expansion, so that it is no longer shifted. Then fold up A focus and tighten the hex screws crosswise corner screwdriver C.

Screw the spindle until it stops in the device for expansion (Fig. 6.57).
Once again the turnbuckle.
Unscrew the hex screws crosswise.
Remove the tube from the device for expansion, clean it and check the brake line and flaring.
Wash the rest of the car brake pipe:
Connect the device for filling and bleeding the brake system, Push hose capacity for pumping and flaring to turn on the device for filling and bleeding the brake system for a short time to leaked a small amount of brake fluid.
Blow treated brake tube with compressed air.

Connect the brake pipe adapter E (Fig. 6.58).
Install the brake pipe.
Bleed the brake system.
