Removing and installing the trailing arm with mounting bracket
Withdrawal Remove the wheel. Remove the coil spring.
Remove the bracket 1 to this press out the inner core rivets (Fig. 4.60). Remove the connecting rod 2 from the trailing arm. Remove the bolts. Release electrical wire from the clamp on the support bracket. Mark installation position of support bracket on the body. Remove the bolts.
If necessary, replace the trailing arm, remove the support bracket with a lever.

|
Hold the trailing arm in a vise so that the support bracket 1 touched the grip (Fig. 4.74). Remove the bolt 2. In this case, adjust the mounting position of the support arm relative to the trailing arm.
Determination of the mounting position of the support arm relative to the trailing arm

Measure the size of a bolt from the center to the outer edge of the support bracket. Dimension a is 57.5 ? 1 mm. After setting the size and tighten the bolt.
Setting
| Fig. 4.76. Position the bolts securing the trailing arm to the wheel bearing housing
|
A threaded connection of the trailing arm with wheel bearing housing can be tightened only when the remaining parts (springs and dampers - required) on the wheel suspension are installed. When tightening the wheel suspension must be unsprung. Only now trailing arm and wheel bearing housing are moved into position (Fig. 4.76). When you perform the following operations should strictly observe the sequence of actions. Install the trailing arm and support bracket bolts on the wheel bearing housing, not tightening.
Insert the connecting rod 1 in the trailing arm, without tightening the nut (Fig. 4.77). Lift the wheel suspension using a rack for the engine and gearbox and support until the support arm touches the body. Tighten bolts to the old fingerprint. Again lower the wheel suspension at the front and remove the bearing from the hub. Install the coil spring. Tighten the bolts to the trailing arm torque, making sure the correct position of the parts. Tighten the connecting rod to the wheel bearing housing. Remove the mount for the press out of this inner core rivets. Install and tighten the wheel. Adjust the wheel alignment.
