Driving lubrication system is shown in Fig. 3.17. Oil from the oil pump is supplied under pressure to flow oil filter. The filter is located directly below the oil pump and secured with a cranked compound which facilitates its replacement. From the oil filter through a channel molded into the intermediate section of the cylinder, is supplied under pressure to the main bearings. Then, through channels drilled in the crankshaft, the oil pressure supplied to the lower crosshead. The camshaft and hydraulic valve lifters are lubricated by means of a channel drilled in the front left side of the engine block. The channel extends in the cylinder head and is on the lower plane of its upper section. From here it goes to the left bearing of a camshaft and a pusher (the inlet side). Bearings and pushers right camshaft (exhaust side) is lubricated with oil through the channel, cast across the front edge of the top section of the cylinder head. From the cylinder head and crankshaft bearing oil returns to the oil sump.
