Cylinder block
The cylinder block (Fig. 3.4) consists of three sections, which are cast from an aluminum alloy, is: - The actual engine block; - The central section; - pallet. The cylinder block and the center section mate on the plane lying along the axis of the crankshaft. The block is located unescaped cast iron cylinder liners. Five main bearing supports are cast in the central section with cast iron amplifiers. In the upper part of the central section of the molded lubricant channels which are partitioned by oil and fundamentally through the crankshaft by the connecting rod bearings. The pallet is made in view of the whole block rigidity and provides additional reinforcement of its structure. Cylinder liner nominal size (tab. 3.2) are divided into four size groups for selective assembly. Tags groups corresponding to the cylinder diameter, stamped on the end of the sleeve. Repair size used when wear exceeds 0.1 mm and require boring and honing of the cylinders.
