The trunk lid

Withdrawal Open the trunk lid. Remove warning triangle, remove the screws 4 and remove the holder. Remove the tailgate trim. Disconnect the electrical connectors. Using a marker, mark the position of the hinges on the trunk lid. Ask the assistant to support the trunk lid in the open position and, using a blade screwdriver, remove the cover from the gas-filled rack. If you need to remove the gas-filled rack lid from the vehicle, similar to remove the lower part of the support. Remove the nuts to the trunk lid hinge and remove the rear lid.

If it is installed new gas-filled strut, then disposing of an old rack is necessary to remove the gas. To do this, secure the post in the grip of the X portion shown in Fig. 16.12. To avoid accidents, be sure to tighten the stance of the said portion. At a distance equal to 1/3 of the length, gas-filled strut Saw body.

Setting Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following. With two assistants, set the boot lid and screw nuts from the hand joints. Align the hinges according to earlier made labels and tighten the nuts fastening lid.
Adjustment Loosen the nuts lid. Position lid relative to the wing is controlled by adjusting the buffer 2. Phillips screwdriver to press the stop spring pin and lock it by turning counterclockwise. Screw adjusting buffers all the way into the boot lid. Carefully close the trunk lid, until it is flush with the wing, and gradually loosen the adjustment buffers. If done correctly, adjust the adjustment buffers with the lid closed should easily touch the edge of the trunk. Unlock the spring clip by turning a screwdriver clockwise. Loosen the nut 7 so that the lock pin can be moved by the elongated holes. Carefully close the trunk lid, until it is flush with the back side of the wing. Open the boot lid and tighten the nut 7 to 8 Nm.

After adjustment, check the clearances (Fig. 16.22) between the trunk lid and the elements of the body.
