Leak test hydraulic brakes

To prevent a sudden failure of the braking system, thoroughly check the condition of all pipelines. Replace parts with new ones, if there is the slightest doubt as to their suitability. All rubber parts of brake units (hoses, seals, etc.), Regardless of their condition are replaced with new after 100 000 km or five years of operation (whichever comes first) to prevent sudden breaks due to aging.

HELPFUL ADVICE
Brake fluid is highly hygroscopic and absorbs moisture from the air that, in addition to the corrosion of the braking system, lowers the boiling point of the fluid, and it can lead to brake failure with frequent heavy braking. Therefore, we recommend to replace the brake fluid at least once every two years.

Check the tightness of external examination:
- Top from under the hood;
- Lower the car (on the lift or pit);
- The sides of the car with the wheels removed.

HELPFUL ADVICE
Inspection of the hydraulic drive, working under pressure, spend with the assistant. He has four or five times to press the brake pedal (to thereby create pressure in the hydraulic drive) and hold it as long as you do not check the hydraulic actuator.
Inspection of the hydraulic drive is not under pressure, for example, but less effective.

NOTES
Upon detection of leakage connections tighten clamps, plugs, nuts.
Rubber hoses and pipes to mechanical damage and replace.
If non-working cylinders, repair or replace them.

You will need: a special key for nuts of pipelines or the keys "9", "10", "12".
Here is the special key for nuts of pipelines.
1. Inspect the brake master cylinder reservoir ...
2. ... and the connection of pipelines and pressure regulators with the main brake cylinder.
3. Check for fluid leakage from the brake pipe connections to Front brake hose.
4. Inspect the brake hoses and their connections with the brakes. Hoses should not have cracks, tears and scuffs. Click to lock the brake pedal if the hose were swelling, then torn strands braided hose and must be replaced.
5. Inspect the hose connections with the working cylinders and valves to release the air brakes of the front wheels.
6. Check the brake pipes with hoses rear brakes and couplings.
7. Inspect compound brake pipes with the working cylinders of the rear wheels and air release valves.
8. Check the fastening of the pipeline in the holders on the bottom of the body ...
9 ... on the right side of the fuel tank ...
10. ... on the rear axle ...
11. ... and on the rear suspension arm. Holders replace damaged because their weakening or breaking leads to vibration and, as a result, damage to the pipelines.
