Withdrawal
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Disconnect the negative battery terminals and connectors from the radiator fan and condenser fan. | | 2. Remove the bolts of the radiator. | | 3. Loosen the belt tension adjusting screw and unscrew a bolt of fastening of the generator. Raise the vehicle. | | 4. Disconnect from the generator and the wire from terminal B + of the generator. | | 5. Remove the bolt and nut fastening of the generator. Lift the heat sink and remove the generator from the car. |
| Dismantling (75 A) A warning Replace the jaws soft protectors to avoid damage to the generator components.
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Secure the generator in a vice and remove the three coupling bolts. | | 2. Insert a flat blade screwdriver between the two front cover and the yoke of the stator and remove the cover. | | A warning Do not insert a screwdriver too deep, as this may damage the stator winding. The back cover can be removed with difficulty, because it uses the ring, locking the outer ring of the rear bearing. To facilitate the removal of the rear cover its soldering heat capacity of 200 watts. Do not use a hair dryer to heat, as this may damage the unit diodes.
| 3. Secure the rotor in a vise with the pulley. | | 4. Remove the pulley nut, then remove the spring washer, a pulley and the spacer. | 5. Remove the front cover and two washers. | 6. Remove the rotor from the vise. | 7. Remove the screws that secure the brush holder, the rectifier and nuts Terminal B. | 8. Remove the stator and the back cover. | 9. Separate the slinger from the brush holder. | 10. Desolder three wires from the diode and remove the stator. | A warning Otpaivanie held no longer than 5 seconds, as, otherwise, may be damaged rectifier diodes.
| | 11. The separation of the rectifier from brush holder Unsolder two plates are soldered to the rectifier. |

Check (75 A)
Rotor
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. An ohmmeter measure resistance between contact rings. If the resistance is extremely low, so there is a short circuit in the rotor winding. If the conductivity does not appear, there is a breakage in the rotor winding, and the need to replace the rotor. Resistance: 3.1 ohms | | 2. An ohmmeter check up conductivity between the contact ring and the anchor of the rotor. In the presence of conductivity, replace a rotor. |
|
Stator
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. An ohmmeter check up conductivity between the wires of the stator coils. In the absence of conductivity, replace the stator. | | 2. An ohmmeter check up conductivity between the stator coils. In the presence of conductivity, replace the stator. |
|
Check rectifier unit
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Check for continuity between the positive pole of the rectifier and the output terminal of the stator coil. The ohmmeter should show conductivity in one direction only. If the conductivity is available in both directions, then broken and the rectifier diode must be replaced. | | 2. Check for continuity between the negative pole of the rectifier and the output terminal of the stator coil. The ohmmeter should show conductivity in one direction only. If the conductivity is available in both directions, then broken and the rectifier diode must be replaced. | | 3. An ohmmeter check up conductivity between the outputs of each of the three diodes. The ohmmeter should show conductivity in one direction only. If the conductivity is available in both directions, then broken and the rectifier diode must be replaced. |
| Replacement brush
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. If brushes are worn to the maximum allowable length, replace them. | | 2. Unsolder braided wire and remove the spring and brush. | 3. Install the spring and the new brush brush into the brush holder. | 4. Insert the brush so that there is a distance of 2-3 mm between the wear limit line and the end of the brush holder. | | 5. Solder the braided wire to brush holder. |

| Assembly
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. The assembly is carried out in sequence, return dismantling taking into account the following. | | 2. Before connecting the rotor to the back cover, insert the wire through the small hole in the back cover to lock the brush in the retracted position. After installing the rotor, remove the wire. |
|
Setting
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Place the generator on the engine. Insert the central bolt of fastening of the generator, but it is screwed onto the nut. | | 2. Move the generator to one side of the central bolt of fastening of the generator and measure the distance between the generator and the support bracket. | 3. Select the set of shims corresponding to the measured distance. | 4. Insert the spacers and screw the nut on the bolt of the central generator. Further installation is carried out in reverse order of removal. |
