Steering transfer
Withdrawal Check and pre-adjustment before installing | Secure the steering gear in a vise jaws shut with a soft material.
| When attaching the steering gear in a vice wrap steering transfer cloth and take care not to damage it during compression vise. |
Pre-load gear | | - Measure the preload turning gear special tool 09565-11100 one revolution every 4-6 seconds. Also measure the force trigger rack. Full pre-load gear: 0.6-1.3 N ??? m.
| Measure the preload for the full course of the rack. |
- If the preload does not correspond to the required values, first of all, adjust the torque of the plug and re-check the preload of the gear.
- If the adjustment torque cork does not give positive results, test or replace the body of the stopper.
Resistance deviation steering rod | - Take 10 variations of steering draft.
| - Dynamometer to measure the force that must be applied to deflect the steering rod. The force deflection steering rod: 8-22 N.
- If the measured value exceeds the nominal value, replace the tie rod.
| If the measured value is lower than the nominal value and the steering rod rotates smoothly and without play, it can be installed on the vehicle. However, if the measured value is less than 4.3 N, replace the tie rod. |
Check corrugated protective cover | - Visually inspect the corrugated protective cover for damage and deterioration of its properties.
- Ensure that the protective cover is installed in the correct position.
| - If corrugated protective cover is defective, replace it.
Dismantling Check the rack | - Check the rack teeth for damage or wear.
- Check the contact surface of the oil seal for damage.
- Check the rack to the absence of deflection or twisting.
- Check O-ring for damage or wear.
| - Check the oil seal for damage or wear.
Check valve gear | - Check valve gear teeth for damage or wear.
- Check the contact surface of the oil seal for damage.
- Check O-ring for damage or wear.
| - Check the oil seal for damage or wear.
Checking Bearing | - Check the bearing on absence of jamming or abnormal noise during rotation.
- Check the bearing on absence of excessive backlash.
- Check for needle bearing.
The rest of the test | - Check the surface of the cylinder crankcase steering gear for damage.
- Check the dust cover for damage, aging and cracking.
Assembly Setting | | - On the right side of the car, set the steering gear.
