Operations Service adjustment
Adjustment of an axial backlash reactive plate brake.
| Fig. 3.35. Adjustment of an axial backlash reactive plate brake: 1 - a lock ring; 2 - special tool 09456-39100; 3 - jet plate
|
Special tool lock brake pressure plate low gear and reverse gear, set the brake disc and the retaining ring as shown in Fig. 3.35. Install the reaction plate before remove the lock ring. The special tool to measure the axial play and then replace the lock ring to adjust the axial play, which must be 0-0,16 mm.
Adjustment of an axial backlash brake second gear.
| Fig. 3.36. Adjusting axial play of the second transmission brake 1 - a lock ring; 2 - the return spring; 3 - special tool 09456-39100; 4 - second transmission brake piston
|
Special tool lock brake pressure plate of the second transfer, set the brake discs and brake plate, as shown in Fig. 3.36. The recoil spring, brake piston and the second transmission circlip. The axial clearance must be equal to 0,79-1,25 mm.
| Fig. 3.37. Select the thickness of the brake disc: A - amount of movement; 1 - special tool 09456-39100
|
Select the thickness of the brake disc in the range of values, defined as dimension A (movement amount) + the thickness of the special tool, to a value of 1.25, which is calculated as dimension A (movement amount) + the thickness of the special tool-0.79 (Fig. 3.37) .
Adjustment of an axial backlash brake low gear - reverse gear.
| Fig. 3.38. Set a dial indicator to measure the axial clearance of low brake transmission - reverse gear
|
Turn the gear box and set the dial gauge (Fig. 3.38). Move the special tool up and down, measure the axial play. Axial backlash to be 1,35-1,81 mm.
| Fig. 3.39. Select the thickness of the pressure plate: A - amount of movement; 1 - special tool 09456-39100
|
Select pressure plate thickness ranging from a value equal to dimension A (movement amount) + the thickness of the special tool - 1.81 to a value determined as a size A (amount of displacement) + -1,35 thickness special tool (fig. 3.39).
Adjusting the axial play of the sun gear.
| Fig. 3.40. Location and marking of bearings in an automatic transmission
|
You previously used an external ring of the thrust bearing # 8 (Fig. 3.40) and the back cover. Measure axial play of the sun gear downshift. Replace the thrust bearing ring # 8 to adjust the play to the standard value. Dimensions and markings bearings mounted in an automatic transmission are shown in Table. 3.8. Axial clearance should be between 1.25-1.45 mm.
Table 3.8 Dimensions and markings bearings mounted in an automatic transmission
A WARNING | Fig. 3.41. Measurement endplay sun gear downshift: 1 - sun gear downshift; 2 - sleeve underdrive clutch
|
|
Install the underdrive clutch hub will facilitate the measurement of the axial play of the sun gear downshift (Fig. 3.41).
Adjusting the preload of the differential housing.
| Fig. 3.42. Location segments solder (1) on the converter housing to adjust the preload of the differential housing
|
Put on two segments solder sump diameter of 3 mm and a length of 10 mm, as shown in Fig. 3.42. Install the converter housing in the gearbox housing, not putting on the gasket sealing surface. Tighten bolts to torque converter housing, then turn out bolts and remove the pieces of solder. Micrometer, measure the thickness T of the deformed solder. Select a shim which is in the recommended range. The thickness of the lining is T (0.04 \ 0.105) mm.
