Filling the air conditioning system
A WARNING This surgery is performed through the low pressure side. If the refrigerant container is bottom down, the refrigerant flows in a vapor state. |
Refrigerant vapor state Install the valve on the refrigerant container.

|
Open the low-pressure valve and adjust it so that the low pressure gauge indicates the pressure of not more than 412 kPa (Fig. 9.3). Put a refrigerant container in a bath of warm water or warm plate (temperature 40 ? C) to maintain the vapor pressure in the container is slightly higher than the vapor pressure in the system. Start up the engine, let it run at an accelerated rate of idling and the air conditioner.
A WARNING Keep the container in an upright position to prevent liquid refrigerant in the air conditioning system through the feed direction, which could lead to possible damage to the compressor. |
Fill system (680 ? 25) g of refrigerant and close the low-pressure valve. When the charging rate decreases, the refrigerant container is put in water heated to a temperature of 40 ? C.
WARNINGS In no event shall the refrigerant can be heated in the water above the temperature 52 ? C. To heat the refrigerant container, do not use a blowtorch. |
Refrigerant liquid
A WARNING This surgery is performed through the side of the high pressure. If the refrigerant container is upside down, the refrigerant flows in the liquid state. Never start up the engine when refueling system through the high pressure side. When filling the system with liquid refrigerant not open the low-pressure valve. |
After pumping system completely close the valves of high and low pressure. Install the valve on the refrigerant container. Open the high pressure valve and turn the container upside down with the refrigerant. Fill system (680 ? 25) g of refrigerant and close the high pressure valve. Filling an excessive amount of refrigerant will result in higher discharge pressure (high pressure side).
A WARNING If there is no low-pressure gauge readings, the air conditioning system must be repaired. |
After refueling, air-conditioning system required amount of refrigerant, close the valve of the gauge manifold. Using a leak detector, make sure that the air conditioning system there are no leaks.
