Testing the air-conditioning system installed in the car
Check capacitor Check condenser fins for contamination or damage. If the ribs are dirty, clean them with compressed air. If the edges are bent, straighten them with a screwdriver or pliers.
A WARNING Be careful not to damage the fins. |
Check the condenser for leaks and, if necessary, repair or replace the capacitor.
Check condenser fan Check the operation of the condenser fan. Check the condition of the wiring harness connector. Make sure that the shaft of the fan motor is rotated at a supply voltage of 12 V on the contacts "2" and "4" connector of the engine fan.
Check receiver drier Check the safety cap and connections for leaks. Start up the engine on an accelerated frequency of idling with the air conditioner and check the temperature at the inlet and outlet. If the difference of temperature at the inlet and outlet of a large, replace the receiver drier.
WARNINGS Crazu after disconnecting connections immediately close their caps to prevent the ingress of dirt and moisture. Do not remove the plugs until the connection elements of the air conditioning system. When you replace the receiver drier to the compressor, add 40 cm 3 of compressor oil. Pump, season and test the air conditioning system. |
Check triple switch operating pressure Triple switch operating pressure, - a combination of the low pressure switch (to check the amount of refrigerant), medium-pressure switch (to switch off the condenser fan) and the high pressure switch (to prevent overheating). It is installed on the water trap receiver, and when the pressure becomes about 200 kPa or lower, the condenser fan is stopped, thereby reducing power consumption of the rotation of the condenser fan. When the pressure reaches 3214 kPa or above, the compressor stops, which prevents it from damage from jamming. When the pressure increases to 1,800 kPa or greater, the fan goes from low to high speed, which reduces the power consumed by the fan. Usually there is no need to test the switch, but if detected an unusual condition, such as a failure of the compressor, check the switch as follows: - Set the measuring gauges; - Start up the engine and turn on the air conditioner; - Open the valves service port low pressure and high pressure service port; - Check the gauges. To test the conductivity disconnect connector triple pressure switch. Check the conductivity of the connection between the four socket contacts of the switch. When a fault is detected, replace the switch.
Check heater Remove the glove box assembly. Turn blowing fan and air conditioning. Start up the engine. When connecting the thermostatic switch, connect a voltmeter to terminals "2" and "3" connector, and check to see if the voltage between terminals in accordance with the surface temperature of the evaporator. At a temperature of (1,5 ? 1,0) ? C voltage must be equal to 0, the thermostatic switch is off, the air conditioning compressor clutch is disengaged. At a temperature of (4,3 ? 1,0) ? C voltage must be equal to 12, the thermostatic switch is on, the air conditioning compressor clutch is activated.
A WARNING Verification should be carried out by connecting a voltmeter to terminals connected to the back of the connector. |
If the thermostatic switch is not working properly, remove the block of the evaporator and replace the switch.
