Adjusting the parking brake
Models 1993 Vol. | - Make sure that the drums (or discs) Rear brake rotate freely without biting, and then fully charged the parking brake lever.
- Poddomkratte back of the car and establish it on props.
- Mel or fat pencil mark position of the adjusting nut on the threaded tip equipped with rope tensioner.
| - On models 1993 Vol. chalk or fat pencil mark position of the adjusting nut (left arrow) to the tip of the thread tensioner equipped with a cable, then screw the nut by approximately 13 mm lower at the tip; if the planned replacement of the rear cable, squeeze the latch (right arrow), small hose clamp worm type.

- Screw the nut on the tip deeper into the tensioner by about 13 mm. If the length of the threaded portion of the tip is not enough, replace the tensioner (Section Replacing the parking brake cable). Do not attempt to improve the tensioner, or reuse it.
- Release the parking brake lever and make sure the rear wheels rotate freely.
- Remove the jacks and lower the car.
- Check operation of the brakes on a slope.

Models 1994 Vol. | - Make sure that the drums (or discs) Rear brake rotate freely without biting, and then fully charged the parking brake lever.
- Poddomkratte back of the car and establish it on props.
- Apply a label on the stem tensioner approximately 6.5 mm from the tensioner arm.
| - On models 1994 and 1995 Vol. Apply the stem tensioner mark at a distance of approximately 6.5 mm from the bracket.

- Tighten the adjusting nut on the balance so that the label on the stem tensioner is aligned with his arm.
| For no reason not to tighten or loosen the tensioner adjusting nut after the adjustment! |
- Release the parking brake lever and make sure the rear wheels rotate freely.
- Remove the jacks and lower the car.
- Check operation of the brakes on a slope.
