Operation principle and diagnostics of electric lowering-raising glasses
Power lowering-raising glasses provided with electric motors, enshrined in the doors of the vehicle. The system consists of control switches, motors (controls), mechanisms of lowering-raising glasses and connecting wires. When the ignition power is supplied via fuse number 13 in the power distribution center (RDS) on the circuit breaker in the fuse box assembly, and then the main switch terminal 5. Lowering-raising glasses can be driver by switching the main switch control, as well as individually by each of the passengers using the individual switches on each door. Glass each of the side doors of the car is equipped with a separate, reverse-type motor. The switch position determines the polarity of the motor allowing to produce, respectively lowering or raising of the glass. Some systems are equipped with relay controls the motor current. Each of the engines equipped with a separate circuit breaker in addition to the fuse and circuit breaker protect the entire circuit. This construction allows the normal operation other glasses in case of failure of the drive of one of them. The operation of the electric windows lowering-raising is possible only with the ignition. Furthermore, using the blocking switch as part of the main switch drive can be deactivated switches passenger doors. It should be remembered that there are such possibilities when troubleshooting a drive glasses. These procedures are very general, so if their conduct does not reveal the reason for refusal, should be driven away in a car dealer branch of the company for a full diagnosis. | - If the drive-lowering raising of glasses do not work, check the fuse and circuit breaker.
- If there is a drive failure glass rear door, or switch the drive is possible only with the main switch, check the position of the locking switch. If he is constantly shorted to lock, replace it.
- Check the electrical conduction between the circuit breaker and fuse panel. If necessary, make a replacement.
- If there is a failure of the operation of the main switch windows drive only one of the doors, try to run it from the switch on the door.
| This does not apply to the driver's door glass. |
- If the glass is operated by a switch and does not respond to the second switch, check the conductivity switch.
- If the switch is in order, check the wiring between the drive and the motor of the glass for a short circuit.
- If the glass does not react to switch both switches, remove the door trim panel and measure the voltage at the motor at different positions of switches.
- If the power supplied to the motor, remove the glass from the regulator (head body). Move the glass up and down manually, trying to identify signs of seizure or mechanical damage. Also check for signs of seizure and damage control. If the controller is in order, and the glass in the door moves smoothly, replace the motor. In case of jams make a corresponding mechanical repair, lubricate, or replace the defective components.
- If the power is not supplied to the motor, check the continuity of the wiring between the switch and the motor. To adequately perform this check, use the wiring diagram.
- After carrying out the relevant necessary repairs recheck the operation of the electric-lowering raising glasses.
