Adjusting the tension of the alternator drive belt

PERFORMANCE ORDER

If the belt is slightly tensioned at work, he will publish a background noise, and will be subject to premature wear. If the belt is tightened strongly, damage to bearings of the water pump or generator.

1. Loosen the nut "A" and the alternator mounting bolt "B" locking bolt tension adjustment.

2. Turn the adjusting bolt to adjust the belt tension.
3. Tighten the bolt "B" locking bolt tension adjustment.
4. Tighten the screws "A" fastening of the generator.
5. Check the belt tension and, if necessary, repeat the adjustment.

Torque

Nuts "A" fixing the generator: 34-54 N ??? m
Bolt "B" locking bolt tension adjustment: 20-25 N ??? m
Adjusting bolt: 8-12 N ??? m
