The cylinder head and valve

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Allen key 12 mm in the sequence shown in Figure 2-3, remove the bolts securing the passage of the cylinder head.

2. The device with the socket 12 mm compress the valve spring and remove crackers. Then remove the plate valve springs, valve spring, the valve seat and the valve spring.

To prepare the storage valves numbered plastic bags or containers.

3. Remove the valve stem cap with pliers.

Do not reuse the valve stem seal.

Check

Cylinder Head

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Inspect the cylinder head for damage, cracks, leaks, oil and coolant. If necessary, replace the cylinder head.

2. Remove the scale, sealant, and carbon deposits. Compressed air blow channels for lubrication.

3. The metal ruler and probe into six areas A, B ... check the flatness of the cylinder head. If necessary, pereshlifuyte cylinder head.

  • Standard deviation from flatness: less than 0.05 mm
  • The maximum permitted deviation of 0.2 mm

Valve

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. A wire brush, clean the valve. Examine each valve for wear, damage and deformations in the zones A and B and, if necessary, repair or replace it.
2. If the end of the rod is worn or eaten, as appropriate, restore the chamfer. This recovery should be limited to the minimum metal removal.
3. Also check the thickness of the working edges.

Edge thickness:

  • Intake valve: 1.0 mm
  • Exhaust valve: 1.5 mm

Maximum allowable thickness of the edge:

  • Intake valve: 0.7 mm
  • Exhaust valve: 1.0 mm

Valve spring

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Inspect each valve spring for cracks and damage. Measure the length of the spring in a free state.

2. Install the spring on a flat horizontal surface and measure the deflection of the spring from the top of the vertical plane.

  • The length of the spring-load: 45.82 mm
  • Tolerance springs from the vertical plane not more than 1,5 ?
  • Maximum permissible length reduction: 1 mm
  • Maximum permissible deviation of a spring from a vertical plane not more than 4 ?

Valve Guides

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Check the clearance between the rod and the valve guide. If the clearance exceeds the limit, replace the valve guide to the bushing repair size larger.

The clearance between the stem and the valve guide:

  • Intake valve: 0,02-0,047 mm
  • Exhaust valve: 0,05-0,085 mm

Maximum permissible backlash between the shaft and valve guide:

  • Intake valve: 0.1 mm
  • The outlet valve: 0.15 mm

Valve seat inserts

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check valve seat for the presence of heat and disturbance of the working surface in contact with the valve plate. If necessary, repair or replace the valve seat.
  2. Before replacement or repair of the valve seat, check the valve guide wear. If the valve guide sleeve is worn, replace it.
  3. Repair the valve seat should be carried emery wheel or cutter. The width of the chamfer of the working of the valve seat must be within given specifications.

Replacing the valve seat

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. A valve seat insert worn to the limit must be replaced at room temperature by cutting the wall, as shown in Figure A.

2. After removing the old valve seat is necessary to chisel nest under the increased size of the valve seat. Dimensions for the treatment are summarized in the table.

3. Heat the cylinder head to a temperature of 250 ? C and a press-fit the new valve seat repair size. When pressing the valve seat must be brought to room temperature. After installing a new valve seat must perform valve lapping.

Replacing the valve guide

Valve Guides is set with the press. Using the tool to install the valve guide 09222-21100 or a suitable tool, replace the guide sleeve as follows.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Using the tool to install the valve guide, press out the valve guide from the cylinder head in the direction of the cylinder block.

2. Place the cylinder head to the opening of a new valve guide increased repair size.

3. Tool for fitting the valve guide sleeve in the press in the cylinder head. The device provides the press-fit sleeve at certain depths. Measure the protrusion of the upper part of the valve guide from the cylinder head. Please note that the protrusion of the valve guide is different for intake (45.5 mm) and exhaust (50.1 mm) valve.

4. After pressing the valve guides, insert new valves and check clearance.
5. Each time you replace the valve guides, check and, if necessary, replace the valve seat.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Before installation, clean all parts. Apply a thin coat of engine oil to all sliding surfaces.

1. Using the special adaptation 09222-21100, set the valve stem seal. Improperly installed valve stem seals may reduce its working edge due to the eccentricity and leads to leakage of engine oil through the valve guide. When installing, be careful not to twist the valve stem seal. Do not reuse the old stem seals.

2. Lubricate the valve stem with engine oil and install valve. When installing the valve, do not apply excessive force, so as not to damage the valve stem seal. Check for smooth movement of the valve.

3. Install the spring and spring plate. Springs should be installed side coated with enamel to spring plate.

4. pecial tool 09221-29100 compress a spring. Place crackers and remove special tool for spring.

5. Clean all the gasket surfaces of the cylinder and the cylinder head.
6. Install a new cylinder head gasket. When installing the gasket sealant, do not use and do not use the old cylinder head gasket.

7. Allen key 12 mm screw bolts of the cylinder head in the order shown in the figure.
