The cylinder head, valves and valve springs
Withdrawal | 1. Drain the coolant and disconnect the upper radiator hose. 2. Remove the hose and a wide air intake, located between the air filter and cover head. 3. Remove the vacuum hose, fuel hose and the coolant hose. 4. Remove the intake manifold. 5. Remove the spark plug caps from the high-voltage wires. 6. Remove the ignition coil. 7. Remove the upper and lower casings of a gear belt. | 8. Remove the toothed belt and an asterisk of camshafts. |
9. Remove the heat shield and the exhaust manifold. 10. Remove the water pump pulley and the cover. 11. Remove the camshafts controlling intake and exhaust valves. | 12. The special tool with the socket 12 mm in a certain sequence for 2-3 passes, remove the bolts of the cylinder head. |
13. Remove the remaining cylinder head gasket from the engine block and the cylinder head. | When removing residues pads, be careful they do not fall into the channels of the cylinder. |
|
|
Check Cylinder Head | 1. Clean the cylinder head of the deposit and the sealant. Compressed air blow channels for lubrication. 2. Inspect the cylinder head for damage, cracks, leaks, oil and coolant. If necessary, replace the cylinder head. | 3. The metal ruler and a feeler gauge, check the flatness of the cylinder head. Deviation from the flatness of the cylinder head: 0,03 mm The maximum deviation from flatness of the cylinder head: 0,20 mm |

Valve Guides | | Check the clearance between the rod and the valve guide. If the clearance exceeds the limit, replace the valve guide to the bushing repair size larger. The clearance between the stem and the valve guide: - Intake valve: 0.02-0.05 mm
- Exhaust valve: 0,035-0,065 mm
Maximum permissible backlash between the shaft and valve guide: - Intake valve: 0.1 mm
- The outlet valve: 0.15 mm
|
|
|
Valve | | 1. Inspect each valve for wear, damage and deformation and, if necessary, repair or replace it. If the end of the rod is worn or eaten, as appropriate, restore the chamfer. This recovery should be limited to the minimum metal removal. |
2. Check the surface of a working facet of the valve and restore it or replace the valve. 3. Replace the valve if the valve head edge thickness of less admissible. The thickness of the edge of the valve head: - Intake valve: 1.0 mm
- Exhaust valve: 1.3 mm
Maximum allowable thickness of the edge of the valve head: - Intake valve: 0.5 mm
- Exhaust valve: 0.8 mm
|
|
Valve spring | 1. Measure the length of the spring in the free state. | 2. Install the spring on a flat horizontal surface and measure the deflection of the spring from the top of the vertical plane. - The length of the spring without load: 42.5 mm
- Spring length under a load of 21.9 kg: 35 mm
- Tolerance springs from the vertical plane not more than 1,5 ?
- The maximum permissible length of the spring without load: 41.5 mm
- The maximum permissible length of the spring under a load of 21.9 kg: 34 mm
- Maximum permissible deviation from the vertical plane of the spring: a maximum of 3 ?

Valve seat inserts | 1. Prior to the replacement or repair of the valve seat, check the valve guide wear. If the valve guide sleeve is worn, replace it, and then restore the valve seat. | 2. Repair the valve seat should be carried emery wheel or cutter. |
3. After repair and grind the valve seat using abrasive paste. |
|
Replacing the valve guide | 1. Using the special tool 09222-32200, squeeze out the old valve guide to the base of the cylinder head. | 2. Place the cylinder head to the opening of a new valve guide increased repair size. The increased size of the valve guide Increased size | Label size | The diameter of the holes in the cylinder head | | | | 0.25 | 25 | 11,250-11,268 | 0.50 | 50 | 11,500-11,518 |
|
| 3. Tool for fitting the valve guide (09221-29000 (A), 09221-22000 (B)) press-fit the sleeve in the cylinder head. The device provides the press-fit sleeve at certain depths. Measure the protrusion of the upper part of the valve guide from the cylinder head. Please note that the protrusion of the valve guide is different for intake and exhaust valves. |
4. After pressing the valve guides, insert new valves and check clearance. 5. Each time you replace the valve guides, check and, if necessary, replace the valve seat. | Do not install the valve guide of the same size. |
|
|
Replacing the valve seat | | 1. Cut the inner surface of the valve seat to reduce the wall thickness and its removal from the cylinder head. |
| 2. After removing the old valve seat is necessary to chisel nest under the increased size of the valve seat. Dimensions for the treatment are summarized in the table. The increased size of the valve seat insert Description | Label size | Seat height, mm | Hole diameter in the cylinder head, mm | Saddle inlet valve and increased by 0.3 mm | thirty | 7.9-8.1 | 33,300-33,325 | The seat of the exhaust valve and increased by 0.6 mm | 60 | 8.2-8.4 | 33,600-33,625 | Saddle inlet valve and increased by 0.3 mm | thirty | 7.9-8.1 | 28,600-28,621 | The seat of the exhaust valve and increased by 0.6 mm | 60 | 8.2-8.4 | 28,900-28,921 |
|
3. Heat the cylinder head to a temperature of 250 ? C and a press-fit the new valve seat repair size. When pressing the valve seat must be brought to room temperature. 4. After installing the new valve seat must perform valve lapping. The width of the working edge of the valve seat: - The inlet valve: 0.9-1.3 mm
- Exhaust valve: 0.9-1.3 mm
|
|
Setting | 1. Place the spring seat. | 2. Using special tool (09222-32100), install the valve stem seal. | Do not reuse removed valve stem seals. Improperly installed valve stem seals leads to leakage of engine oil through the valve guide. |
|
3. Lubricate the valve stem with engine oil and install valve. When installing the valve, do not apply excessive force, so as not to damage the valve stem seal. Check for smooth movement of the valve. | 4. Install the spring and spring plate. Springs should be installed side coated with enamel to spring plate. |
5. pecial tool 09222-21001 compress a spring. Place crackers and remove special tool for spring. | When the spring is compressed, make sure the valve stem seal is not pinched seat springs. |
6. Clean the gasket surface of the cylinder head gasket and the engine block. | 7. Check the location of the markings on the cylinder head gasket. |
8. Place the gasket markings on the cylinder head. | When installing the gasket, do not use sealant. |
| 9. Allen key 12 mm screw bolts of the cylinder head in the order shown in the figure. |
| 10. Tightening the bolts in three stages, starting with the central part.
Tightening torque cylinder head: 25 N ??? m + to tighten on a corner (60 ? -64 ?) + to tighten on a corner (45 ? -49 ?) |
