Check the air conditioning system on the vehicle
1. Check the condenser coil fins for damage or contamination. If the ribs are dirty, clean them with water under pressure. |
A WARNING Be careful not to damage the condenser fins. |
2. Make sure that the drive belt is properly installed, and its edges are correctly positioned in the grooves of the pulleys. |
3. Check belt tension. If there is to maintain an optimal tension belt slippage will reduce the efficiency of the air conditioner and reduce the life of the belt. To avoid this, periodically check the belt tension: click on it with a force of 100 N at a location equidistant from pulleys and measure its deflection. Deflection of a belt should be 5-5.5 mm. |
5. Turn on the air conditioner and check the air conditioner in each position of the switch unit. |
6. Check the operation of the electromagnetic clutch. |
7. Check the increase in speed of the crankshaft of the engine idling. When you turn on the electromagnetic clutch, the engine speed of the engine at idle speed should be increased. |
8. Check the fan motor condenser coils. |
9. If there is no or insufficient cooling, check for leaks. With determinant gas leak check each element of the air conditioning system. |
