Check actuator variable valve timing (L3)
ATTENTION The actuator is a variable valve timing precision assembly and disassembly can not be. |
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the plug hole plate. Remove the high-voltage wire. Remove the connector of the oil control valve. Remove the ventilation hose. Remove the cylinder head cover (see. "Removing and installing cylinder head cover").

Make sure that the groove of the rotor and the convexity of the lid actuator combines variable valve timing (Fig. 2.99). If the groove and convexity are not aligned, turn the crankshaft clockwise two turns. Check the alignment of the groove and the protuberance. If the groove again and convexity are not the same, replace the actuator variable valve timing. When the crankshaft rotates audible knocking actuator valve timing change each time when the cam passes the position of full opening of the valve, this means that the actuator is not fixed. Replace actuator. Install the cylinder head cover (see. "Removing and installing cylinder head cover"). Install the breather hose. Connect the oil control valve.
