Measurement of the load of the primary, secondary shaft and the shaft of the differential housing of the main transfer

Install the input shaft to the gears and the differential in the clutch housing.

Installing the primary shaft and the shaft of the differential
Fig. 3.67. Installing the primary shaft and the shaft of the differential

Install final drive housing and tighten fasteners primary shaft rated torque (Fig. 3.67).
The inhaling moment: 37,3-52,0 Nm.

Measurement of the load of the shaft of the differential with a torque wrench
Fig. 3.68. Measurement of the load of the shaft of the differential with a torque wrench

Install special tool and the dynamometer or a torque wrench (Fig. 3.68).
Make sure that the pre-load - within limits.
If not, repeat the operation, starting with the adjustment of a tightness in the bearings.
Preload: 1.4-1.9 Nm.
Indications dynamometer: 14-19 N.
Remove special adaptation.

Measurement of the load of the primary shaft with a torque wrench
Fig. 3.69. Measurement of the load of the primary shaft with a torque wrench

Place the gearbox in unit with the main gear, as shown in Figure 3.69, set a special device on the input shaft.
Make sure that the pre-load - within limits.
If not, repeat the operation, starting with the adjustment of a tightness in the bearings.
Preload: 0,12-0,39 Nm.
Indications dynamometer: 1,2-3,9 N.
Remove special adaptation, housing the main transmission input shaft and differential.
Install the secondary shaft and main gear housing, tighten the fasteners nominal torque.
The inhaling moment: 37,3-52,0 Nm.

Measurement of the load of the secondary shaft with a torque wrench
Fig. 3.70. Measurement of the load of the secondary shaft with a torque wrench

Install special tool and the dynamometer or a torque wrench (Fig. 3.70).
Make sure that the pre-load - within limits.
If not, repeat the procedure starting with the adjustment of a tightness in the bearings.
Preload: 0.2-0.3 Nm.
Indications dynamometer 2-3 N.
Remove the special tool and the main transmission housing.
