Repair of injectors

To remove the nozzle, it must be dismantled. Disassembly of nozzles is performed as follows:

Dismantling the nozzle
Fig. 158. Dismantling the nozzle

- Injector hamstring so as not to damage the fuel line fittings, and nut 1 (Fig. 158);

The unit injectors
Fig. 159. The unit injector: 1 - nozzle body; 2 - steel thrust washer; 3 - spring; 4 - push-pin; 5 - Spacer; 6 - nozzle holder; 7 - a spray; 8 - needle injector

- Removed from the holder of the nozzle body with a needle, pressure pin, a spring and a steel washer. Details of the nozzle shown in Fig. 159;
- All parts immersed in diesel fuel for dissolving the deposits. If necessary, carefully clean the parts with a brush. Ensure that the hairs of the brush does not remain on the details of the nozzle;
- Ensure that, in order not to confuse the details of different nozzles - they can not be razukomplektovyvat.
Cleaning injectors

Cleaning the injector needle brass brush

To clean the nozzles in any case can not be used sandpaper, scraper or other similar tools. You can use the wooden sticks hardwood, gasoline or diesel fuel. The needle injector may be taken only for a push pin, because its contact surface may corrode from contact with wet fingers. The outside surface of the nozzle body can clean a brass brush, the same method can be cleaned and the needle head, as shown in Fig. 160.

Cleaning the sprayer with a special tool
Fig. 162. Cleaning the sprayer with a special tool

Hole injectors clean wooden stick, pre-soaked in diesel fuel. Scraper ring grooves or wooden stick dipped in diesel fuel, clean the nozzle body from the inside (Fig. 161). Seat the needle inside the body gently clean the cleaning needle and the spray - a special tool moves from inside to outside (Fig. 162).

Cleaning the injector needle stick hardwood

If the needle is covered with soot, it must hold for the pin in the chuck of a lathe or electric drill and clean the piece of wood with a sharp edge, pre-soaked in diesel fuel (Fig. 163). After cleaning of used nozzles should visually check for damage to the surface of the needle seat, body and diffuser. Damaged nozzle should be replaced.
After a visual inspection should check the ease of movement of the needle. The nozzle body and a needle to put separately in the filtered diesel fuel, and then insert the needle into the housing. Holding the nozzle body vertically to pull the needle about 1/3 of its length. Under its own weight, it must be free to fall back. Then gently turn the needle clockwise and repeat the test. If the needle is not lowered, and its housing must be replaced. Nozzle assembly is carried out in the reverse sequence.
Special test instrument Bosch EFEP 60H can also check the cone spray pattern, the amount of fuel injected and the pressure nozzle opening. These works are carried out at the station with the use of equipment for the repair of diesel engines.

Installed nozzles must match the type of engine. In Fig. 164 is a cross sectional view of the nozzle. The nozzles are marked index DN 0 SD 261.
