Troubleshooting turbocharger
If the motor vehicle does not develop full power, or can not reach maximum speed, it can be assumed a fault in the turbocharger, but only if the injection system is obviously in order. On the one hand, the cause may be leaking turbocharger system, on the other hand, perhaps he has failed turbocharger. Search for possible problems should be carried out in the following order. Leakage of supercharging: - Check for leaks, cracks and breakage of the air pipe between the turbocharger and the intake manifold passing through the intercooler, and remove possible malfunctions; - Check the tightness of the intake manifold and cylinder head. Problems are possible because of the gaskets, or in the worst case, because of the damaged reservoir; - Leaks may also occur at the connections of the flange of the exhaust manifold and cylinder head or between the exhaust manifold and the turbocharger. Defective turbocharger: - Check the boost pressure to the service station. It can be increased or, conversely, low. If the pressure is too high, the solenoid valve may be faulty turbocharging and fuel pressure control valve. Diagnostics memory controller on the service needs to show the source of the fault; - If the pressure is too low, the potential failure of the membrane valve mechanism turbocharging. Otherwise faulty turbocharger.
