Dismantle of the power unit
| Fig. 14. Dismantling of the power unit
To remove the power unit requires lifting hoist or manual winch. The power unit is removed forward after removing all shown in Fig. 14 parts front of the car, which is a large amount of work. It should be remembered that its weight is about 200 kg, so the recommended chain hoists or hoisting winches must withstand such a load. Since it is very difficult to remove the power unit, lifting it up to do the job best suited hand valve with a sliding boom. These guidelines apply to all types of engines. The following describes all the important stages of the dismantling of the power unit, but some vehicles may be equipped with additional compounds that need to be taken apart and which are not specified in the description. The driver's cab is only necessary to disconnect the gear shift lever on the transmission. The power unit is removed after dismantling the front parts of the front of the car. Dismantle of the power unit must be carried out as follows: - Open the bonnet and totally discard it on the windshield. For this it is necessary to disconnect the backup at the top of the hood. Before that, you need to put on the windshield some old blanket;

- Disconnect the two terminals of the battery (to avoid short circuit disconnects first "minus" plug!). The battery is located in front of the engine compartment (Fig. 15). In order to avoid dropping the tool on the battery terminals and sparks recommended to remove the battery from the engine compartment;
| Fig. 16. Removing the grille (arrows point to the mounting bolts of the lattice)
- Remove the radiator grille. To do this, unscrew the two screws indicated by arrows in Fig. 16. After that, grill easily pulled out, leaning forward; - Remove the radiator cap. At the same time the coolant temperature must be above 50 ? C. Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system according to the directions contained in Section. 4.1; - Remove the radiator, follow the instructions in the relevant chapter;

- Remove the duct connecting the air filter and the intake manifold (shown in Fig. 17 on the engine capacity of 2.3 liters); - Remove the front bumper and radiator mount support bar; - Disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold and the gearbox;

- Disconnect the propeller shaft from output flange and remove the gearbox drive tachometer (Fig. 18);

- Remove from the transmission clutch slave cylinder and, without disconnecting hoses, take him aside. A piece of wire to fix it under the car so that it does not hang on the hose. In Fig. 19 shows the location of the working cylinder on the gearbox; - Disconnect the "mass" wire; - Disconnect the power cable from the starter motor and alternator. Disconnect everything from the engine wiring harness and lay them aside for later in the assembly not to mix them; - Disconnect the electrical wiring from the relays glow; - Disconnected from the engine's vacuum tubes; - Remove the belt with the light of the guidance in the corresponding section; - Remove the three screws on the drive pulley power steering pump and remove the pulley from the hub of the pump; - Remove the power steering pump and, without disconnecting hoses, take it away; - Disconnect the fuel from the strainer and close them to prevent the ingress of dirt inside;
| Fig. 20. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster vacuum pump nozzle
- Remove the vacuum hose from the union of a vacuum pump, as shown in Fig. 20. This hose connects the pump with brake booster; - Remove the handle from the gear lever, remove the rubber seal and pull the lever of the gearbox after loosening the locking screw (see. And Sec. "Transmission"); - Loosen the fastening clamp and remove heater hose from the thermostat housing; - To remove a starter; - Remove oil line from the oil filter housing; - Disconnect the gearbox mount to traverse (one nut); - Disconnect the two mounting supports the motor (on two sides under the vehicle); - To roll into the engine compartment Manual valve with an arrow in front and secure it with rope or chain slings for lifting eyes on the engine. At the same time substitute dolly under the rear portion of the power unit at the interface with the engine transmission unit to support the bottom. Now, before proceeding to dismantle the engine mounting and the gearbox, ensure that the power unit is securely held lifters and not break with them; - Disconnect the control rod feed fuel mixture;

- Disconnect fittings traverse gearbox and engine. In Fig. 21 and 22 show how the parts are fixed. Before dismantling the fixture traverse once again make sure that the power unit is suspended firmly and held in lifting devices; - Turn the power unit slightly to the side so that the projection mounting the shift lever is not clinging to the lower part of the body, and pull or roll the unit on dolly from the engine compartment of the vehicle. Try not to touch the steering parts.
