Rear shock absorbers

The rear shock absorber
Fig. 254. The rear shock absorber: 1 - a spring clip; 2 - washer; 3 - lever knob; 4 - a fixing bolt; 5 - a washer; 6 - shock; 7 - hex nut 75-80 Nm; 8 - longitudinal beam; 9 - hex bolt; 10 - hexagonal nut 65-70 Nm

Shock absorbers mounted on top of the nut, the bottom - the nut and bolt. Top bolt also serves for fixing the brake lever of the pressure regulator. Location mountings rear shock absorber shown in Fig. 254.
Before removing the jack to raise the bridge to compress the shock absorber. Then proceed as follows:
- Unscrew the bottom fastening of the shock absorber to the bridge;
- Remove the spring clip 1 (see. Fig. 254) fastening of the lever 3 drive controller and remove the washer 2. Then remove the lever with the bolt;
- 4 bolt holding the key to turn on the other side of the nut 7. Remove the bolt and knock the puck;
- To check the damper clamp upright in a vice and "pump" him several times by clicking on the stock. The entire length of the shock absorber stroke should have a uniform resistance in compression or rebound. The presence of "failures" indicates the need to replace the shock absorber.
Installation is performed in reverse order, with the following tightening torque (Nm):
- The upper shock absorber - 75-80;
- Shock absorber lower mounting - 65-70.
