All models are covered in this manual are equipped with car running at a pressure of the engine cooling system with thermostatically controlled circulation of the working fluid. A water pump mounted on the engine block and provides pumping coolant through the cooling path of the latter. The liquid flow washes the area of location of each of the cylinders in the block, and then sent to the rear of the engine. Paved in molding block and the cylinder head cooling channels provide intensive cooling of the intake and exhaust ports, areas of installation of spark plugs and exhaust valve guides.
Since the start of the engine cooling system passes through three modes of operation: the first stage until the water temperature rises above a certain value, it circulates on a small circle of the working circuit which eliminated the radiator. With further heating of the fluid opens poppet valve included in the system path voskozapolnennogo thermostat and connected to the circuit of a radiator. Further, the coolant temperature reaches another reference value, the sensor-activated heat-sensitive switch with an activation of the cooling fan, wherein the additional injected air flow greatly increases the efficiency of the heat exchanger of the radiator.
The cooling system has a sealed structure and covered with a lid radiator capable of withstanding a certain excess pressure, which increases the boiling point of the coolant and, accordingly, the efficiency of heat removal through the radiator. When excess internal pressure in the system a certain value, there is an excess flow of coolant through the connecting (overflow) tube into the surge tank. As the cooling system fluid automatically returns from the tank into the radiator.
Adding coolant in the system is made through the neck of the expansion tank (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust), which at the same time also serves as the receiver accumulates displaced by excess fluid from the radiator.
Due to these design features, the system is called closed cooling as it excludes any functional loss of working heat.
The heating system consists of fans and heat exchangers arranged in blocks of front and rear portions of the cabin. Hot coolant passes through the heat exchangers. When you move the control handle mode heater, located in the Control Panel, open the valve and the hot air begins to flow into the interior of the vehicle. If you turn on the heater fan, air is supplied to the interior force.
Outdoor air before getting into the room, passed through a special filter in the carburetor settles the main share of the dust particles. Replacing the cabin filter should be done on a regular basis in accordance with the schedule of routine maintenance of the car (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust). Violation of the cross filter results in a lower performance operation of heating / ventilation / air conditioning.
Air distribution system by means of ventilation flaps. You can switch modes of air circulation. Drive through the servo valves osuschestlvyaetsya.
