Checking the reference position of the balancing shaft (only engines M112 and 628)
M112 Checking the reference position of the motor shaft balancer M112 | | |
| - Remove with gear assembly (see chap. Automatic transmission).
- Remove the drive disk.
- Check the basic position of camshafts (see. Section Checking and adjusting the base camshaft).
| On models equipped with an air pump must be removed and the right combination valve, the gasket is to be replaced on a mandatory basis. |
- Set the locking plate (2) on the right and left cylinder heads, tucking them into the slots (1) of camshafts.
- When properly installed, the balancing shaft hole (3) in the rear counterweight (4) should be aligned with the slot in the crankcase, - Fill the holes with diameters of 8.40 ÷ pin 8 .55 mm. Make risks in combination (B) of the front counterweight of the pin (A) in the crankcase, - risk pin located approximately 22 cm below the mating surface of the head and viewed through a window in the left lid timing.
- In violation of the basic installation balancing shaft must be replaced.
- Acting in the reverse order of disassembly, install all the components acting in film.

| - Remove the cylinder head cover (see. Illustration details the installation of covers of heads of cylinders of the engine M682 (1 of 2), and details the installation of covers of heads of cylinders of the engine M682 (2 of 2)).
- Remove the intercooler (Intercooler) turbocharging systems (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust).
- Remove bottom bolt (3a) of the cover (3), - to provide access to a bolt of a cranked shaft in a normal direction.
- Give the first cylinder to TDC.
- Remove the upper bolt (3b) and remove the cover (3).
- Remove the centrifuge.
- Make sure that the tensioner (9) provides the required tensile force of the gas distribution chain.
- Replace the housing cover (3) and secure it with the top bolt (3b).
- Rotate the crankshaft two full turns in the normal direction, again citing the first cylinder to TDC.
- Again, remove the cover (3).
- Make sure all the basic setting the camshaft (see. Section Checking and adjusting the base camshaft).
- Check the basic setting of the balancing shaft, the spring (5) which should occupy the position shown in the picture, and marking (6) on the sprocket (7) to be slightly offset from the position of "12 hours".
- Operating in reverse order of disassembly, install starred components into place.
- Finally, make the DTC reading and clearing of system memory on-board self-diagnostic scanner using STAR DIAGNOSIS (6511 1801 00) (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
