Checking the motor oil pressure
Petrol models Pressure testing of motor oil on petrol models | - Pull straight up, remove the trim panel of the engine / air cleaner assembly.
- Remove the fan assembly (8) of the cooling system and its casing (9).
- Remove the cover from the timing screw plug (4) and remove it together with the sealing washer (5).
| Sealing washer to be replaced on a mandatory basis. |
- With planted in the timing cover on the sealing washer (3) double choke connector (2) to connect to the engine is equipped with a pressure gauge connecting hose (1) to measure the pressure of oil.
- Check motor oil level, if necessary, make appropriate adjustment (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
- Remove the dipstick from the guide tube (7) measuring the level of motor oil and season instead Remote Thermometer (6).
- Start the engine, warm it up to normal operating temperature (80 ? C), then read the pressure gauge at various revolutions of the crankshaft. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications.
| At squeezing of a pedal of gas pressure must increase immediately. |
- Installation is in the reverse order.

Diesel models (M612) Checking the motor oil pressure in the diesel models (M612) | - Remove the cylinder head cover the upper finishing panel.
- Proceed in accordance with the instructions in sections 4 through 8 (for the petrol models).
|
|
| Readings are taken at the operating oil temperature 90 ? C. At idle oil pressure must not fall below the value of 0.3 bar (bar); at squeezing gas pedal reading should immediately increase, reaching a value of at least 3 bar (bar) at 3000 rev / min. |
