Speed control system (Tempostat / Speedtronic)

general information

Speed control system Tempostat / Speedtronic is standard on these models. The system can automatically maintain a selected cruising speed of the vehicle without affecting the gas pedal. Meaning cruising speed should be not less than 32 (petrol models) / 40 (diesel models) km / h. Application Tempostat is particularly useful when driving on long straight malozagruzhennym suburban highways. For safety reasons it is not recommended to include Tempostat in urban traffic, on winding, full of twists and turns, the road on slippery surfaces, in heavy rain and other adverse weather conditions. In the above cases, the driver must be able to fully control the mode of the vehicle.

Illiterate Tempostat use may cause a traffic accident! Operate the speed control only when driving on motorways and free under favorable weather conditions.

During operation of the system can occur automatically move the gas pedal, which in this case should not hold the foot in order to avoid damage to the support and axial arrangements!

). Speed control system on these models can operate in one of two modes: as a Tempostat standard design, and how the system of variable speed limits (Speedtronic), - switching is performed using a steering column stalk to the left of the steering column, above the assembly of the combined stalk (see. illustration Arrangement of control components on the dashboard and the steering column). The same switch enables the operation control system in the selected mode.

Management of functioning Tempostat

Switching modes of operation of the speed control is done by clicking on the end part with the activation of the mode of variable speed limits (Speedtronic) is accompanied by the inclusion of built in the assembly of the lever indicator light LIM.

Switch activation / mode switch / operation control Tempostat located to the right of the steering column (in standard mode LED is not lit LIM)

1 - Enter the current value of the speed of the memory system (short squeeze lever) / acceleration (to keep the lever pressed) / fine adjustment setting cruise speed in increments of 1 km / h
2 - Enter the current value of the speed of the memory system (short squeeze lever) / decrease speed (to keep the lever pressed) / fine adjustment setting cruise speed in increments of 1 km / h

3 - Turning off (cruising speed is stored in system memory)
4 - Calling values cruising speed of system memory
5 - Switching the "Tempostat / Speedtronic / off"
6 - LED LIM

Standard Mode

In the standard mode of functioning Tempostat built into the handle lever LIM indicator light does not have to - if necessary, press the button on the end of the handle (5).

Construction Tempostat switch allows you to enter into the memory of the system as any current cruising speed of the vehicle, if it exceeds 32 (petrol models) / 40 (diesel models) km / h - enough to press the lever briefly up or down. After entering the cruising speed, release the gas pedal.

Raising and lowering the value of the cruising speed is made by squeezing the arm up / down, respectively, and holding it in this position.

Short-arm push-ups up and down when activated Tempostat value cruising speed can be adjusted in increments of 1 km / h. When you release the lever after adjusting the new selected value is automatically stored in memory.

Short-term acceleration of the vehicle, for example when overtaking can be made by squeezing the gas pedal - after releasing the pedal the speed will automatically decrease to memorize the Tempostat cruise values.

After the dissolution of the vehicle to a speed higher than 32 (petrol models) / 40 (diesel models) km / h memorized in Tempostat cruising speed may be caused by briefly pulling the lever toward you.

Activate call cruising speed of the system's memory only if you remember its value and ready to move in the corresponding high-speed mode.

When driving with the included Tempostat downhill and uphill may be deviations from the values specified cruising speed.

To turn off Tempostat enough to press the switch lever away from you, or click on the end of its handle - selected value cruising speed will remain in the memory.

When you turn the key in the ignition lock to position 1 or 0 is reset to memorize Tempostat cruise values.

To turn off Tempostat also leads squeezing the brake pedal, more than 4-second squeezing the clutch pedal (Manual transmission model), as well as translation of the AT selector lever in position ?N? (AT model).

Mode Speedtronic

The system provides variable Speedtronic limit vehicle speed according to the selected ukami.

Variable speed limiter allows by limiting the engine speed does not exceed a certain threshold set by the speed, for example, the need for strict compliance with the rules of the road.

Do not forget that responsibility for the speeding driver always bears!

Switch activation / mode switch / operation control Tempostat located to the right of the steering column (principle of management mode Speedtronic, - LIM indicator lit)

1 - Activation of / increase in value of the maximum speed in increments of 10 km / h
2 - Activation System / decrease the value in increments of the maximum speed of 10 km / h
3 - System Shutdown

4 - Call the values memorized speed limit / fine adjustment setting the maximum speed in increments of 1 km / h
5 - Switching the "Tempostat / Speedtronic?

Activation of variable speed limits is done by pressing the end of the handle lever switch Tempostat and is accompanied by firing of built-in handle switch yellow indicator LIM, - a similar indicator is embedded in the assembly of the speedometer on the dashboard of the car (see. Section A combination of devices, meters, warning lights and indicator lights).

The limiter is activated only if the current vehicle speed is different from the stored in the system limit of not more than 30 km / h.

Changing the speed limit (in increments of 10 km / h) is made by squeezing the stalk up or down - the selected value of the maximum speed will be displayed on-screen multi-function display. With the engine running, you can enter any speed limits, starting at the value of 30 km / h.

The speed limit may be exceeded when squeezing the gas pedal all the way to the point of overcoming resistance (enabling kickdown).

In contrast to the regime Tempostat, squeezing the brake pedal does not disable the speed limiter.

Exit restrictions can be made by briefly push the lever away from you, or by pressing on the end of its handle - LIM indicator should go out. Automatic shutdown occurs limiter during acceleration mode kickdown to a speed exceeding the set limit by more than 20 km / h.

If the limiter can not cope with the task, for example, when driving downhill, the alarm is activated the buzzer and the display screen of the instrument cluster displays a message ?LIMIT EXCEEDED?.

By virtue of the design features of the speedometer may differ slightly from the speed limiter settings.
