Removal and installation of components of the SRS

SRS components

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Removal and installation of the block front driver's air bag is described in Section Removal and installation of the steering wheel airbag unit and coil spring. Removal and installation of emergency pretensioners described in Section Removal and installation of the front seat belts. Before starting work, disconnect the battery first negative and then the positive lead. Isolate the poles of the battery and wait at least 3 minutes. Dismantling blocks the airbags and inflatable curtains are not acceptable. Do not expose the SRS components to temperatures above 90 degrees. Do not allow the ingress of oil, grease or water. Subjected to impact (for example, if dropped) SRS components must be replaced. Installation is performed in reverse order, using new hardware and tighten it with demanded effort.

Block the front passenger airbag

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove the glovebox with lid (see. Section Removal and installation of the instrument panel and its components). Disconnect electrical airbag unit and give it to mount. Pull the airbag unit from the dashboard.

Remove a corresponding seat and back (see. Section Removal and installation of the front seat). Disconnect electrical airbag unit and give it to the fastening nut Remove airbag unit from the seat.

Blocks inflatable curtains

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove the ceiling trim (see. Section Removal and installation of other decorative panels). Disconnect the wiring block inflatable curtains. Give fixing screws and release the blocks of the inflatable curtain clips. Remove the inflatable curtain.

Sensors

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Location frontal impact sensor shown in the illustration system components SRS. To remove the fixing nuts give it. To remove the side impact sensors clear the belt, disconnect the sensor, take it to a fixing nut and remove the gauge.

Control block

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Disconnect all units airbags and emergency belt tensioners (see. Section Removal and installation of the instrument panel and its components). Remove the center console (see. Section Removal and installation of the instrument panel and its components). Disconnect the control unit SRS, unscrew a bolt of its ground and the mounting bolts, then remove the control unit.
