Removing and installing the steering pump
 | Full status check and repair steering pump relating to the procedures that go beyond the qualification of the average mechanic-fan. Cost remnabora plus time costs usually outweigh the cost of changing a used unit. In view of the above, the drafters of the Guidelines recommend that in the event of pump failure just replace it. For those who decided to try his hand at repairing the steering pump authors give an explanatory illustration and a list of basic technical requirements (see. Table sizes and adjustments in the end of this manual). |
The components of the steering pump Withdrawal | - Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
- Clean the outside of the pump by removing the traces of dirt and grease, to avoid falling into the hydraulic system in the process of dismantling the pump.
- Loosen the clamp to the pump return line (the appearance of the steering pump is shown in the accompanying illustration). To collect spilled liquid keep a fitting drain capacity.
- Give a hollow bolt choke connector mounting pressure line and continue draining the tank. Secure loose lines away from the work area, clog their open ends to prevent dirt entering the system.
- Give adjuster locknut to loosen the mounting bolts and adjusting. Remove the pump drive belt.
- Turn the adjusting and fixing bolts and remove the pump assembly to the last car.

Setting Installation is in the reverse order. | - Replace the copper sealing washers and tighten the banjo bolt choke connector.
- Adjust the tension of the drive belt.
- Bleed the hydraulic system.
