Adjusting the brake bands (model 4.2 liter EFI)



Adjusting the brake bands AT is not a standard maintenance procedures and the need to perform under normal conditions is generally available. The need arises speaks about deterioration of the transmission.

The adjusting screw is located in the upper portion of the left wall of the dome behind the transmission transducer rotation. To ensure access to the screw may need to remove a certain lowering of the cross-beam transmission.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Poddomkratte the front of the car and establish it on props.
  2. Loosen the lock nut a few turns of the adjusting screw, taking care not to move the screw.
  3. Tighten adjusting screw with 4 ÷ 6 Nm.
  4. Loosen the screw by exactly two and a half turns.
  5. Fix the screw still and tighten the lock nut.
  6. Lower the car to the ground and perform its trial runs, checking serviceability of functioning of the transmission.
