Drive Control Panel and heater and air conditioner



general description

Management heater made four adjustments that will ensure a comfortable temperature inside the vehicle.

The lever controlling the supply of fresh air allows you to set one of the two modes of heating - mode sucking outside air and recirculated air. Recirculation involves the use of a fan heater, and is usually included in a very dusty location, or to quickly warm up the car. Enabling the fresh air you can quickly ventilate the room, or remove condensation from the windows.

The shifter allows you to direct the flow direction of the heated air to the floor of the cabin, to the windshield or dashboard nozzles. The lever has two fixed positions, one for which it is possible to control the temperature of air leaving the nozzles located on the floor with respect to the temperature of the stream fed through a nozzle dashboard.

Track temperature control allows you to change the position of the valves, directing the air through the heat exchanger or the heater (in music mode (Hot)) or bypass it (mode COLD (Cold)). Maximum intensity of the heater is only achieved when warmed to normal operating temperature of the engine.
Control lever allows the fan on / off and the last to choose the desired speed of rotation.

On models equipped with the air conditioner uses a similar control panel with an additional button on / off the air conditioner. The button is equipped with a control lamp that turns on at the same time with the inclusion of the air conditioner.

Using the air conditioner is only possible with the engine running as the compressor is driven by the engine via a belt drive.

Turning the unit when installed in the position of the control lever MUSIC heater supplies the salon dehydrated air, which in particular allows you to quickly remove condensation from the windows of the car.

The maximum intensity of the cooling air supplied to the interior is achieved when the temperature control lever is in the minimum position (COLD). To prevent freezing of the evaporator in this mode, be sure to include a heater fan at high speed.

In cold weather, the air conditioner should be run for a short time (about ten minutes) at least once a month. Such regular inclusion would avoid drying out the seals and, as a consequence of a failure of the air conditioning system.

Removing and installing the heater unit

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the instrument panel. Location of components of heating and air-conditioning in the car at the removed instrument panel shown in the accompanying illustration.
  1. Drain the cooling system, it is drained from the coolant in a clean container.
  2. Working in the engine compartment, disconnect hoses from the heater tubes.
  3. Give bolts assembly heater control panel. Disconnect the panel bracket, then remove the control panel with the unit heater
  4. Disconnect the cables from the drive control unit heater. Try to remember them loading position
  5. Give fixing bolts and remove the ventilation duct on the passenger side of the car.
  6. Give fixing bolts and remove and remove the central ventilation duct.
  7. After Give bolts partially remove the block heater vent duct extending from the driver's side of the car.
  8. Release the harness from the clips at the front of the unit heater.
  9. Give bolts heater.
  10. Print the heater out of the engine compartment bulkhead. Try not to damage the tube heater and water tap.
  11. To remove the heat exchanger assembly to give a tap screws mounting clamp and release clamps of fastening tubes to the block heater. Disconnect draft faucet water, remember its position. Slide the heat exchanger in the direction separating it from the block heater.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Before installing the unit on the car heater make adjustment of traction drive faucet water (on an accompanying illustration shows a rear heater. These are for adjusting the faucet in the inset):
    1. Disconnect the control rod from the lever of the air;
    2. Pull the control rod so that a gap between the lever arm and the actuator was equal to 2 mm;

    1. Turn the air control lever all the way clockwise and connect the control rod to the lever;
    2. Make sure of serviceability of functioning heater faucet, poduv in tube heater.

Access to tap not possible without removing the heater from the vehicle.

  1. Try not to damage the tube heater unit in the institution in its seat.
  2. Check the installation in the engine compartment bulkhead grommet tube heater.
  3. Before setting in place the instrument panel Check the operation of the heater control. If necessary, make the adjustment drive.
  4. When the engine is running turn the heater, make sure of serviceability of its functioning and check for leaks.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  2. Remove the center of the instrument panel. View of the heater control panel is removed while the central part of the instrument panel is shown in the accompanying illustration.
  1. Remove the handle with the control levers by pulling them from the stems. Remove the trim panel heater.
  2. Give fixing screws and remove the heater assembly of the control panel so that there was the possibility of disconnecting the electrical connectors in the back part of it.
  3. Give fixing screws and remove from the car glove compartment.
  4. Release the clamp securing the cable temperature control on the block heater and disconnect the cable from the executive arm.

If the management of a heater to remove the work properly, mark the position of the shell of each of the cables in relation to the block heater is a quick-drying paint or other suitable means. When assembling the cables must be connected in the same position.

  1. Release clamps cable air control at the bottom of the instrument panel and air intake unit. Disconnect the cable from its executive arm.
  2. Working under the dashboard to the right, release the cable lock air flow control, and disconnect the cable from the executive arm.
  3. Give fixing screws and remove the heater control assembly to the heater unit.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

If in the process of dismantling was not made markings, adjust the heating control drive cables.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the cable control the flow of air from the executive arm.
  2. Release of the fastening clamp levers top and bottom flaps and throttle lever blowing glass. The drive components are shown in the accompanying illustration, which is given in the form of a block heater on the right.
  1. Push the lateral thrust all the way counterclockwise.
  2. Turn the lever top and bottom flaps to the fully clockwise and set the bottom first and then the upper stem.
  3. Push the lateral thrust all the way clockwise. Turn the throttle lever to stop the glass blowing counter-clockwise and set the purge valve stem.
  4. Pushing the side thrust all the way clockwise, the lever controlling the flow of air in the front ventilation position, and then connect the cable to the side traction control air flow.
  5. When running at maximum speed heater fan spend lever air flow through position, making sure of serviceability of its functioning.

The rod and wire temperature control

If the control rod needs adjustment, you must remove the heater from the vehicle.


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Give fixing screws and remove from the car glove compartment.
  2. Set the temperature control lever to the maximum heating.
  3. Push the lever to control the temperature to fully clockwise, while gently pulling the cover of a cable control to select his slack and secure the cable in the clamp lock.
  4. Warm up the engine to normal working temperature and check up serviceability of functioning of temperature control lever.
  5. Reinstall the glove box.

Cable air control

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Give fixing screws and remove from the car glove compartment.
  2. Working in a sheath the well on the passenger side of the car, release the air control cable from the lock on the inlet air unit.
  3. Set the air control lever to position the recirculation mode.
  4. Push feed control lever all the way forward on the car and fasten the control cable in the clamp lock.
  5. Check the operation of air control.
  6. Reinstall the glove box.
