Refitting



To perform the procedures described below require the following special tools: replaceable face head 30 mm (to remove the front of the drive flange); head 32 mm (for removal of the rear drive flange); dial gauge, a stripper set, press the base plate and the head of type TORX T45 (for disassembling the box); Press the base plate and the head T45 (for the assembly of the box).

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Drive the vehicle rear wheels on the rack firmly cock a lay brake and block the rear wheels wedges.
  2. Poddomkratte the front of the car and establish it on props.
  3. Remove the plug and drain the oil from the transfer case. Grease the threads of the drain plugs with sealant, and tighten the screw cap.
  4. Mark the position of the front and rear drive shafts relative to each other, and their position relative to the flange drive pinion, flange of the transfer box and the parking brake drum.
  5. Give bolts and nuts and remove the drive shafts from the car.
  6. If the transfer case be disassembled or requires replacement gland peperevedite lever mode switching box 4H position and with the help of the head 30 mm give the nut of the front of the drive flange.
  7. If necessary, remove the front drive flange using puller. Remove the seal from the transfer case (use a stripper or a hammer with sliding brisk).
  8. With the head 32 mm give the nut to the box rear drive flange, mark the position of the flange with respect to the drum parking brake.
  9. Release the parking brake, remove the drum of its mechanism, then with the help of a stripper remove the rear drive flange.
  10. Give bolts rear shield mechanism of the parking brake and remove the brake assembly from the transfer case. To avoid pulling the drive cable assembly to secure the side.
  11. If necessary, remove the oil seal flange of the rear-drive transfer case (use a stripper or a hammer with sliding brisk).
  12. Fold back the rubber protective cover, unscrew the nut on the stem to the switching control lever of a distributing box, remove the washer and spacer sleeve. Remove the stem from the shift lever.
  13. Disconnect the breather hose, disunite electric sockets and release the wiring from the mounting clamps on the transfer case.
  14. Get a jack under the transmission, prop them last, taking her weight with the weight of the transfer case.
  15. Give bolts crossbeam support the transmission to the chassis frame of the car and carefully lower the jack so that there was the possibility of eversion of the upper transfer case bolts to the transmission.
  16. Give all the fixing screws except the bottom.
  17. Lift the institutions under the transmission jack and tighten the bolts cross-beam.
  18. Get a trolley jack under the transfer case and attach it to the last chain or lanyard.
  19. Give the remaining cap screws and remove the transfer case from the vehicle (exterior vehicle assembly removed from the transfer case shown in the accompanying illustration).

Weight transfer case is about 50 kg and is therefore trying to remove it without the use of a carriage jack fraught with injury and damage components.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If necessary, lubricate the drive flange seals sponge-purpose grease based on lithium and install seals in transfer case.
  2. Tighten with demanded effort fixing bolts of the transfer case.
  3. Tighten bolts with demanded effort backplate parking brake mechanism. Cock a lay brake and tighten with demanded effort nuts flanges.
  4. Install drive shafts (according to the made in the process of dismantling the labels).
  5. Fill the transfer case required amount of oil demanded grade (see. Table sizes and adjustments in the end of this manual).
  6. Spend car trial runs, checking serviceability of functioning of the transfer case. Check the oil level in a box, if necessary, make the addition.
