Overview

Over the entire period of production family car Golf III were completed, depending on the model and year of manufacture, a wide range of complex engine management systems (KSUD) (see. Table. 2.1, 2.2, 2.3). Described in this section of the engine management system are divided into a central system KSUD and fuel injection. Systems with a central injection engine provided with a single nozzle that sprays fuel mixture to all cylinders. The injection system, each cylinder receives a mixture of the corresponding nozzles.

Compared with engines equipped with carburetor systems, application KSUD can significantly improve the reliability, flexibility, substantially in accordance with the latest standards, reduce exhaust emissions.

Despite the fact that the operation for the diagnosis and self-diagnosis of the systems of the engine significantly simplified maintenance of such systems requires the proper equipment and expertise. For this reason it will be described below only basic operations to repair / service KSUD.

Reference information about the brands recommended by the manufacturer of spark plugs are shown in Table. 2.4, the initial value of the ignition timings are shown in Table. 2.5.
