Features of dismantling / inspection / installation of the cylinder head VR6 engine

Basic procedures for disassembly / inspection / assembly of the cylinder head on the VR6 engine are identical to the procedures described for the other engines. However, there are some differences:

Numbering and orientation of the camshaft bearing cap on the VR6 engine
Fig. 2.59. Numbering and orientation of the camshaft bearing cap on the VR6 engine

- On the VR6 engine each camshaft bearing cap has an arrow that should point in the direction shown in Fig. 2.59. Like a number of other engines, the camshaft bearing caps are asymmetric: Be careful when installing them;

The camshafts with the bearing caps and the ignition distributor
Fig. 2.60. The camshafts with the bearing caps and the ignition distributor: 1 - a cover of the bearing; 2 - nut 20 Nm; 3 - bolt 100 Nm; 4 - leash drive of the distributor; 5 - the ignition distributor; 6 - bolt 10 Nm; 7 - a lining; 8 - sprocket timing; 9 - camshafts

- To turn away bolts of asterisks of camshafts, hold the sprocket relative to each other (Fig. 2.60), using the provided Allen;
- When removing the chain is essential to apply the label indicating the direction of rotation;
- First dismantled camshaft of cylinders 1, 3 and 5 (see. Fig. 2.59). To do this, remove the cover bearing number 1 and 7, then number 3 and 5. Nuts bearing cap number 3 and 5 should be let go gradually to avoid any misalignment of the camshaft and load on the bearing caps;
- Removal of the second camshaft (cylinder number 2, 4, 6) folded nut bearing cap number 4 and take off, and then alternately and crosswise folded nut bearing caps 2 and 6;

The circuit assembly of the cylinder head
Fig. 2.61. The circuit assembly of the cylinder head 1 - a hydraulic pusher; 2 - crackers; 3 - the top plate of the valve spring; 4 - valve spring; 5 - the valve stem seal; 6 - the directing plug; 7 - cylinder head; 8 - Valve

- If you want to align the surface of the head, the gasket with the cylinder block, install further suitability head VR6 engine for repair, check the size of "a" (Fig. 2.61). The nominal value is (140 ? 0,1) mm, and the minimum 139.5 - mm;

Repair options inlet valve seat
Fig. 2.62. Repair options inlet valve seat

- Basic geometric parameters of repair valve seat shown in Fig. 2.62 and 2.63;
- If necessary permissible grinding end of the valve stem on the grinding machine, while not to be removed more material than 0.5 mm;

Repair options saddle valve
Fig. 2.63. Repair options saddle valve

- Intake valve plates may be further processed by grinding, but with the condition that the amount of ?b? to Fig. 2.63 does not become smaller than 0.5 mm. This procedure is not valid for the exhaust valves, since they are made of special material;
- Each camshaft is intended for the corresponding row of cylinders. These shafts are different from each other according to the number of spare parts, shafts for the cylinders 1, 3 and 5 - 021 109 101 M; shafts for the cylinders 2, 4 and 6 - 021 109 102A;
- First set camshaft cylinder 1, G, 5 attracts the cover 3 and 5 and then 1 and 7. The camshaft cover the cylinder 2, 4, 6 are installed in the order 2 and 6, then - 4. After installing each camshaft crank more just to make sure he never pinched. Nuts camshaft covers are tightened to 20 Nm alternately and crosswise in several passes;
- When Stars camshaft drive requires that the specific shaft was set corresponding to an asterisk; Both bolt tightening torque of 100 Nm;
- If at least one camshaft has been removed, it should be clear, both trehmillimetrovyh holes and fill them completely hermetic to the point when it will be re-installed valve cover;

The sequence of tightening the cylinder head bolts
Fig. 2.58. The sequence of tightening the cylinder head bolts

- In the first passage of the cylinder head bolts are tightened to that shown in Fig. 2.58 sequence to 40 N ? m; in the second - 60 Nm; then they dovorachivat further 180 ?.
