Installation and adjustment of the oil pump driven balancer shaft
NOTE Replace the intermediate plate. Observe the shelf life of the sealant. The sump and the drive of the balancer shaft with an intermediate plate to be installed and bolted within 5 min after application of the silicone sealant. |
Remove residual sealant on the cylinder block with a flat scraper. Cut the tip of the tube at the front marking (hole diameter of about 3 mm). Apply silicone sealant as shown in the figure, to clean the seating surface of the new intermediate plate. Note the following. Bead of sealant should be 2-3 mm thick. In places Holes, apply sealant on the inside Bead of sealant should be turned to the engine block. To sump sealant is not needed.
NOTE The thickness of the sealant harness must not exceed the values specified above, as excess sealant could enter the sump and clog the strainer maslozabornogo pipe oil pump (Fig. 2.179). |
Push the intermediate plate on the mounting sleeve balancer shaft drive, as shown in Figure 2.180. Install the oil pump driven balancer shafts and an intermediate plate. Screw the mounting bolts, starting from the middle to the edges, with a torque of 15 Nm + 1/4 turn (90 ?).
NOTE Observe the different length screws. |
Bring the crankshaft to TDC of the first cylinder.

Align the mark on the sprocket chain drive balancer shaft with a locking hole (Fig. 2.181). Lock the sprocket in this position a locking pin. Put the chain on the balance shaft sprocket. Install the oil pump sprocket and screw the bolt by hand.
NOTE Sprocket chain drive oil pump is installed only in one position. To set the scroll is allowed only the oil pump. |
Remove the locking pin and hex wrench 1. Attach the oil pump sprocket. Tightening torque 20 Nm + 1/4 about. (90 ?). Hold can at central bolt vibration damper. Install the oil pan. Further assemblage is carried out, respectively, in the reverse order of removal. Match bolts balancer shaft drive: A - Hexagon bolt M7h40; B - Hexagon bolt M7h55; C - Hex Bolt M7h90; D - Hex Bolt M7h115; E - Screw plug with O-ring.
Pretension the chain tensioner
Push tensioning rail in the direction of the arrow and secure it with an Allen wrench 1 Wrench 3 mm (Fig. 2.183).
